Jul. 22nd, 2010 08:05 amMarie came home yesterday with Jacob and his brother Peter. Her birthday was actually the day before, but she couldn't come home then because of work. However, Mom did back some chocolate knockouts then for the occasion.
Originally, we planned on having Marie and her friends come home yesterday morning, and spending some time at the beach until 3:00. However, they weren't able to come home until the afternoon, to say nothing of the rain that would fall later on. Even more so, I've been having a heat rash for days now, and once I showed Mom, she said that saltwater wouldn't exactly do any favors for my skin, being in such condition as it's in.

Re-watched the first episode of Mon Colle Knights last night, both the dub and the original. I thought I remembered that Lodo cast some kind of spell on Mondo and Rockna, in order for them to be able to merge with monsters. However, as it turns out, all she did was inform Rockna of her sixth sense and have both kids recite the spell that allows them to merge with a monster. (As it turns out, such is also the case in the manga.)
Since Mondo's birth from the gods and Rockna's genetic modifications at her birth were ruled out (they were supposed to go hand in hand), I kinda wanted a new explanation for their superhuman strength and agility. As for the other ten Knights for my ficseries, I would have explained their's as a blessing from McKnight. (McKnight himself would in turn have been blessed by whichever god visited him first.)
Also, since Jake asked, according to the dub, it was Hiragi who titled Mondo and Rockna the Mon Colle Knights. That doesn't say anything about the original, whether it was him or Lodo who gave them the title.
