Jan. 20th, 2019 05:32 amDidn't get to play Super Paper Mario yesterday. Things got busy with Mom home for the weekend, and I expected as much, and maybe that's for the better right now.
Showed Roberto's ideas to Chelle yesterday, something I originally held off on so as not to distract her from the remaining loose ends of chapter 6, but she declined to comment until I have something focusing on the already established protagonists, instead of just the new girl, and what kind of characterization and development they will undergo.
Showed Brian an exchange I had with her and a transcribed entry from my notebook that pertained directly to that, and asked Roberto for his email address so that I could invite him too, but both of them still have yet to get back to me.
I fear that I might be at yet another dead end. If neither of them get back to me in a timely manner, I might have to repost the respective position to Upwork, but I don't want to jump the gun with that in case they do get back to me. If I were to play through that game, and they still don't get back to me, then there would be no point having played it in the first place, because the whole point of planning for such games as I have is to motivate myself to continue the fic, which I can't do if I don't have ideas to work with, turning that "inspiration" into a mere craving for what I want to see eventually. (Mom even asked me when I brought it up, if I could simply derive ideas from the games themselves, but it never worked that way for me. I even mentioned that before (second-to-last paragraph).)
Rest assured, though, that I will not be having a repeat of what happened before with Unwilling Service. It has occurred to me instead to play either Makeruna! Makendou Z, for the sake of its respective Upwork position; Mega Man 9, as long as I have the Wii hooked up; or Mother, to finish the walkthrough I started so that I can send Brian off with that once and for all when he gives me my Switch back. Will need today to decide which, but I might also reactivate WaniKani either tomorrow or the next day, taking today to read over everything I still have since shutting that down.
