Jul. 19th, 2024 05:46 amThe other day, Mom proposed getting me some açaí bowls from Costco for me to bring to work, instead of paying for those at Tropical. With only two slices of bread left upstairs for a sandwich, I asked yesterday if she could get some to double starting today for lunch at home (she did mention some bread in the basement freezer later), also so that I could grab a cookie there.
(Back to this soon.)

A screw must be loose on one of our front door hinges, for it to be shutting rather awkwardly right now (Dad should be able to fix it when he's feeling a lot better soon). Just yesterday, though, I noticed that a screw was missing from the latch cover, allowing it to bend slightly outward and causing the door to bounce off the frame as a result.
I texted Mom about that, but she was already driving home and even talking to Grandma Ella, whom I came down to greet as well upon opening a window to greet her back.
Upon showing her, Mom asked me to sweep the rug inside with the dustpan. Nothing there, but I did find right in-between said rug and the door, what looked like a detached head-end segment. Mom specified that that was actually the whole screw, and went on to reinsert it before having me vacuum the foyer outright.
-----
About an hour in-between that and heading out, I somehow neglected to take out a protein shake I had in the fridge, one of a new bottled kind Mom recently bought a box of (as opposed to Premier Protein in boxes), despite having that on StickyNotes. I only realized partway down to Smith Point, where she was going first to renew her green key, and while she had originally given me the option to await her back from that before Costco, she specified then that the turn towards Holbrook itself was right along the way back home, making it more economical just to go directly to Costco from Smith.
After some debate, she agreed to stop at a 7-Eleven along the way instead for me to pick up a milkshake.
I ended up getting an Eggo-maple-waffle-flavored one there. It wasn't labeled Nesquik, but was still attributed to Nestlé as well as Kellogg's. (Also took then to get a bunch of singles for bus fare, in exchange for one of five twenties that I had withdrawn at Walmart while buying a few things post-shift at Mom's suggestion.)
Since Mom was planning to make dinner individually for Dad and herself, I decided to have a hot dog at Costco, for before that cookie and shake. That shake was okay, but I probably would have preferred a salted caramel capuccino or a banana-strawberry Nesquik instead, a respective flavor each that Walmart does not carry.
