dmxratedThe other day, I noticed an odd coin in the parking lot, featuring some kind of kettle or something on the front, and some Arabic character on the back. After putting it somewhere in the apartment upon coming home, I got around to showing Mom yesterday, and she identified it to come from the United Arab Emirates, which she actually asked is a real country.
As it turns out, it used to be worth 1 dirham from 1973-89.

Mom made dinner early yesterday, at around 3 or 4. That prescription came in just shortly thereafter, so I was able to come with her to land that cookie for what would be dessert, bringing that Nesquik to go with it.
On our way home, we decided to get a few things extra at Stop & Shop. Someone was playing music on some kind of radio, with a sign asking for money. (We didn't give him anything, although I would have given him some loose change had I had cash to pay back at Costco instead of debit.)
