Asked Drew last night about that calendar, and he specified that it had already been published before he gave me my copy.

Marie joined in afterwards and showed me Will's website:

https://www.willquinnart.com/

Well, he's still a pretty obscure artist, and since the calendar's images don't appear there, that tag would still be worth sharing in video descriptions.

Just created a new tag, Bunnies and Food Calendar, for each entry of that calendar that Drew's cousin drew up for me, mostly in case anyone notices that when I take a moment before each of my playthroughs to showcase what tools I'm going to use for the game in question. (Yes, I still have that since 2022, at Mom's suggestion, on the side of my computer desk where I also usually keep my dice and stuff.)

John Isaacson, one of two freelancers currently responsible in Aderemi's place for Super Mario RPG, has expressed interest yesterday in Starbound for when I have any related work to assign anyone.

Feeling much better so far. As of this morning, all I seem to have left is a slight cough.

What a coincidence that I started craving some of that just a few nights ago, something sweeter than tea, when I can't remember ever having any since my teen years. Usually, it was a drink to go with breakfast during the fall and winter, meant to warm us up, but I eventually stopped after failing to notice any difference from having or not having some.

Forgot to mention, but three days ago, from where I left off, Marie finished this past Week's crossword almost singlehandedly. I discovered the next day, and what better timing in this case. The clue for 38-across, one I wasn't able to figure out, was "Original name of a resource-based game among the nominees; its official name was shortened to its last word in 2015." The answer was a certain favorite board game of hers from back in Boston, (The) Settlers of Catan.

Mom and I are going to visit our relatives in Pennsylvania this weekend, and in preparation for that, she came home early from work yesterday and will be doing so again today. I had an appointment each with a new foot doctor and the eye doctor at different hours, and stuff to do in-between.

Since we're not gonna be home for the 1st, and I had posted a day or so late several months, here is October a day early for once:

Michael sent me a folder with various documents explaining how different aspects of Super Mario RPG work last Saturday, and asked for another three days to finish up the ROMhack.

Sunday evening, after spending the entire afternoon figuring out how to reprice all food items in Epic Battle Fantasy 4 if I were to make certain changes to them, I decided, instead of starting over yet again, to ask for an initial mod simply to re-price Chips (what we call French fries) much lower. (Really, there is no reason for something only twice as effective as another item to cost a whopping fifty times as much money.)

Monday, I was going to create some food icons, and did manage to design some borodinsky bread, but then noticed that a cinnamon roll I designed the other week is gone. Can't tell whether I pasted something over it or clicked Discard instead of Save upon closing out, but needless to say, that killed my muse.

There were also some edits I've been meaning to make to the Starbound outline, so that would've been a better way than any to switch gears. With Mom home for Memorial Day, though, things got kinda busy.

Yesterday, someone assuming the name Dawnbomb on Discord applied for my latest Earthbound post on Upwork, a whole week after I last attempted that. My EBF4 post might've had something to do with that, because she initially assumed there were more posts for game mods that Upwork was not displaying, but I went on to show her my Google doc of all games I'd like edited for the long run. She requested a few days to poke around and decide which games she'd be interested in modding.

After wrapping things up with her for the time being, I went out to finish some mowing I've been doing these past few days. By the time I finished, though, it got to be too hot for me to clear my head, and I wound up barely doing anything except for a bit of cleaning.

For once, I actually looked forward to hitting the gym, and even came with Mom inside Savers first instead of heading straight into the gym by myself.

Of interest, we saw a couple of motor scooters parked in front of the gym, one the same purple as the logo for Planet Fitness. Inside the store, just moments before we left, I saw one of the clerks wearing a shirt saying "I've got your back!", with a stick figure holding the segment of another's between its arms and legs.

Following our actual workout, Mom had to pick something up at the library, and I came inside with her. Had a look at the DVD section, and picked out Chaos;Head and Welcome to the NHK. (Nice to see a few new items there for once.)

And finally, to Meat Farms. Nothing really noteworthy there, but sure enough, yesterday was in fact the best day to run all those errands, and I managed to come home to some messages from Crunchyroll (about an issue I recently ran into regarding a joint promotion with Funimation), Michael (whom I contacted after first hearing from Dawn) and someone named Ebenezer who is currently working on a walkthrough for The Other: Airi's Adventure.

My Internet connection went down, and at first, I assumed something was going on somewhere in town, but I found out later that our main connection was working just fine. Didn't play Disgaea, because I had no access to Google Sheets, on which I keep track of certain things.

Quite by coincidence, I had found myself really tired, obviously from waking up before dawn every morning, and spent most of the day sleeping. Sure enough, I actually did feel gradually better throughout the day.

Mom had hurt her back the previous day, and had to take a particularly long nap upon coming home. I had to wait until she got up to answer a call on Dad's cell phone, before bringing the issue up with her then. She suggested I reboot it, and that actually solved things.

Quite by coincidence, the item I upgraded that morning, a Mage's Staff now at level 20, went on last night to my Blue Mage, Ecole, replacing a level 10 Leather Glove.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Here is the cover for that calendar Drew gave me for Christmas:

And, this month's illustration:

Emily and Drew were here yesterday to celebrate Christmas with the rest of us.

More than a week ago, Mom sent me down Long Island Avenue to see if there was an abandoned couch still just beyond Station Road, and I noticed these four silver tokens on the edge of the road, for something called Olympia Pachisro, which turned out not to have any locations anywhere on Long Island.

I gave those to Brian, Marie, Emily, and Drew for their scratchoff tickets, while I used a Singaporean coin worth 20 cents that I recently found in my change jar (Mom must've found it and put it in there with some regular coins).

Got a whole box of the following manga, which I requested mostly in relation to stuff I had picked up at Savers:

-Angelic Layer, volumes 3 and 4
-The Honor Student at Magic High School, v. 1-4
-Mink, v. 5+6
-Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Wraith Arc, v. 1
-To Heart, v. 3
-Tokyo Mew Mew, v. 3
-Zodiac P.I., v. 1+2

(Just one volume short of a complete set each of Angelic Layer and Zodiac P.I., and I might request those for my birthday, although I would also like some credit for Steam and/or the Nintendo eShop. But, especially seeing how this is already way too much manga to fit on my bookshelf, I can see an opportunity coming up for another round of eBay sales once I finish most of it, along with Unofficial Hatsune Mix, although I do plan on keeping To Heart.)

Drew also gave me a calendar that his cousin Will, an illustrator, drew up, of bunnies eating food. Each month depicts some kind of food business and one line describing what it's all about.

For my gifts to everyone, the first was a pair of work gloves Mom found at Cabela's last week and suggested I wrap up for Dad.

Next thing was a small packet of cribbage pegs, for everyone. (When Aunt Marie and Uncle Ray came last summer, we turned out to have lost all but four of our original pegs, and had to substitute them with matchsticks.)

And finally, a complete collection of The Adventures of Tintin, a staple of our childhood that we actually had less than half of all volumes of.

-----

Spent most of the day reading To Heart.

-----

We didn't have the big feast last night, because Marie and Drew weren't that hungry, and Brian and Emily were out somewhere. Mom told me later that we will be having that tomorrow when Aunt Marie joins us.

-----

Given "Merry Popotan" as one of my Christmas greetings, I agreed for in the evening to show Marie and Drew an episode of Popotan.

Suffice to say, Marie had some doubts about it upon seeing one of the first few things that happens in the first episode. But, despite more fanservice along the way, she and Drew both expressed interest in seeing how the story unfolds, and we will probably watch more of it next time they're here. For their last couple of days here, we've agreed upon tonight for Madoka, and I also offered to show them Lucky Star tomorrow night.
