Apr. 25th, 2024 06:08 amYesterday's shift went from 9:30 to 6:30.
At one point, someone asked me to help a customer cart a TV to his pickup. Soon as I made it into the entrance, it tipped over, and the latter asked me to go replace it while we left that one at customer service.
Managed to keep a hand on the next one I picked up, but it turned out to be the wrong size. Went back, and asked where the 70" TVs were (separate from the wall), and managed to bring that one out. His wife tipped me a five.

At his request two days ago, I let Jeyson know at 12:30 that I was going on my lunch hour. He brought me over to talk to someone about that.
Despite what the Me@Walmart said, the team lead had 1:00 written down as my actual lunch break. However, it also turns out that when you work eight hours (not counting said lunch break), in addition to said lunch hour, you also get not one but two 15-minute breaks, each for completing a certain number of hours. The first one would have been viable two hours in, so Jeyson said I could take that one then.
He had told me then that the second one would be viable at 3, one hour after my actual lunch break, but Christine asked me to hold off until 4 when I notified her at 3:30. Ended up taking it at 4:20.
Later still would've been a better time to take that break. Just minutes after I concluded it, it began to drizzle, and I went inside to give the cart bay a slight update, short enough to simply reach through the shutter to grab a few individual carts, took a few minutes thereafter to use the water fountain and the restroom, and then decided to help out at the lefthand entrance. At that point, I could see it pouring, and went to my locker to retrieve my rain gear, which I had actually brought for some showers predicted for the morning. By the time I came back into the main part of the store, I could see the sun back out in the auto care lot, and went directly there to start a new search around the parking lot as a whole.
