Jun. 17th, 2024 06:39 amSpotted the ice truck in front of the lefthand entrance yesterday at 3:14, and saw that it now sells color-changing cups for $8 apiece. I got a green one that I applied Wild Cherry juice to, but it never seemed to actually change color. Will have to look up at some point what's actually supposed to trigger that.
-----
Near the end of my shift, I spotted a box of Whoppers in a motorcart inside the lefthand entrance while checking the actual motorcart situation there. Unlike an unopened can of (sugar-free) Monster that I found the previous day (or even a banana (unpeeled and still-ripe) on a day when Mom didn't ask what I found around), I brought that directly to customer service instead of eating it on the spot, especially after having already had some sugary shaved ice along with a red velvet muffin during lunch two hours earlier. (I didn't bother bringing those two things inside, because Christine had recently called me out for bringing such things in as a tire gauge or some little kid's art craft that no one's likely to come back for.)
-----
As Mom drove me home, we spotted a helicopter looking for someone. Reaching Long Island Avenue, we then noticed a couple of police cars down the road with their lights blinking. One of those was at the intersection at Lincoln Road, and I spotted another two down there.
The chopper was right above our house when we arrived home, but eventually took to patroling around.
