Jun. 29th, 2024 04:51 amShared that repository link on Discord yesterday, but then discovered that the Library folder had most of its files truncated from 5,600 to 1,000. I brought that up with Raymond, and he took to organizing them into several different sub-folders.
So, here's the link again:
https://github.com/reuser73/ebf4-decompile
He did mention, though, that it wouldn't be as efficient to recompile, requiring reassembly back the way the folders were before it can be rebuilt. So, here is also a direct download link. (It's kinda large, which is why I also wanted a complete archive in any form on GitHub for immediate public viewing.)

A short while after she came home, Mom asked me if I'd like to take a ride with her where she was going to have one of her tires looked at that the car interface displayed a problem with the day prior. I decided to come, mainly for a snack opportunity since I didn't have anything at home for right after lunch, and brought a protein shake into the car.
Where we were going happened to be right across the street from Meat Farms, and she dropped me off there to pick up a pair of empanadas. I actually didn't bother getting a snack for at home, because tomorrow is my only day off from work until Friday, but I did pick up a four-piece stick of chocolate to have between shopping and hitting the gym nearby for a bit.
Said workout in turn involved four abs excercises, and I wound up having that shake for immediate protein afterwards.

Mom and I have started watching Popotan yesterday. Despite the similar art style, though, that was not what that first episode of Killing Slimes reminded her of; that was Mahoromatic after all (she mentioned said maid, Mahoro herself, inviting all of Suguru's friends over), and in fact, she couldn't even remember if she had seen this show before (no surprise there, that being the one episode way back in 2011).

Raymond had mentioned other people's enthusiasm the other day in EBF4, and I asked him if I could get in touch with any such people. Following a reminder, yesterday, he mentioned someone who would like to learn through him how to reverse-engineer console games, and I shared my intentions with him to make Earthbound his next project.
Last night, he concluded that the changes I want made to EBF4 would take more than 500 working hours (sounds like Vadim w/ Earthbound Zero so far) and cost me a lot more than I bargained for. Normally, I would not take people off of one game to work on a different game, but that gave me a pretty good reason there to table that game for Earthbound.
There were a few things Mr. Tenda recommended I share with Vadim when I'm ready to put him on Earthbound. One of those is a pre-existing repo of the game to work with, but I also need to know what purpose my own CoilSnake project is supposed to serve, and when, when I intend to have him work with a vanilla ROM to start with (unless I should just have him modify the existing hack, instead of trying to integrate two, as long as the end result will still be compatible with a clean ROM).
(To begin with, I only defaulted to EBF4 because I have a dedicated Google doc for that game that would allow me to keep things simple for the moment. Most other games on my hitlist have much fewer things I want changed, and most of said changes should be a lot simpler, so EBF4 is likely to remain on the back burner indefinitely, even after all changes are finally in place for Earthbound and even Mother 3 and SMRPG.)
