dmxratedYesterday's shift was scheduled from 9:30 to 6:30, but I wound up with heartburn and ended up clocking out at 2:40. Managed to let Tara know before heading to the breakroom to see if it would wear off, and then called Aunt Marie to come pick me up.
Spotted Nick in the auto care lot, where Mom usually picks me up and Aunt Marie had agreed to, and let him know what was going on. During some discussion that ensued, he asked me what I had for lunch, which consisted of a sesame bagel with garlic-and-herb cream cheese, a chocolate chip and sprinkle cookie, and an iced coratado; he chalked it up to the garlic in that cream cheese.
Mom soon arrived with Aunt Marie alongside. Soon as I got in the car with her, she handed me a few Rolaids (four left in a roll) and advised me to have two to start with. My condition did get better, but not enough to bother trying to clock back in.
During some discussion with them, she suggested that such a whole handful I had of Red Bulls the day prior might be more likely responsible for what happened.
Aunt Marie and I were originally planning on dining out somewhere, but agreed to call that off, and decided later at Mom's suggestion instead to eat out at IHOP this morning. (Mom originally proposed to make something bland for dinner, like some rotisserie chicken and some mac 'n' cheese, but ended up making some steak strips on salad instead.)
Having the afternoon freed up for me, Aunt Marie and I went on at some point to finish off Kanon once and for all. And since today's shift is scheduled for 11:15, she went on to agree to watch another episode today of Killing Slimes.
