dmxratedYesterday, my busdriver had to go pick someone up all the way somewhere around Shirley or Mastic. Not unusual, but then he asked if I was going to the store in Brookhaven, and I had to sort out the actual location with him. I managed to get there just a few minutes after my shift was scheduled to begin, not late enough to count against me.
Whenever I do arrange a bus ride (more often lately, since Dad has not been in any condition to drive me), I usually arrange to get picked up 45 minutes before my shift begins, and things like this are exactly why.
Well, despite only having had some cereal at home, and then missing out on any chance for some protein at Tropical, at least I didn't get hungry prior to my lunch hour for the day.

Saw a little girl early on wearing a pink t-shirt of Sonic the Hedgehog. How ironic, since apparel of male characters are usually aimed to boys.

Rained too hard to bother making my way to Tropical, so I simply stayed in the store to order lunch at Charley's. Turned out there were two limited-time items on the menu, and I managed to order both. For some reason, though, the QR scanner wouldn't let me redeem $5 that I had saved up in points (thankfully, I didn't forfeit the amount either), even though I was still able to scan for new points.
Nor was I able to take my second 15-break later, after it had long stopped raining, to head then to Tropical for a smoothie for dessert (the shift itself was 11 to 7) and use up one of my rewards; Tara came out while I was bringing a damaged cart where I had been told to bring those, and asked me to start filling the left entrance as the only cart attendant present at that time. (I didn't bother having dessert back home either, just a glass of margarita mix, so I guess that saves me more there.)
