Apr. 26th, 2025 09:38 amBrian finally got around yesterday afternoon to fixing both my desktop computers up.
-----
Mom had saved up enough coupons recently for a free plain pizza from La Margherita, and also showed me some prosciutto the other day to cook and top it with.
Yesterday, we got around to ordering it, but Brian accidentally ordered a pepperoni pie instead, and me and Emily somehow could not find that prosciutto without tearing the entire fridge up. After he misconfirmed that he ordered a plain pie, I offered to buy some pepperoni to top it with, but he tried to talk me out of it, finishing by saying that I'd have to pay for it, if they even carry pepperoni by itself. I settled for just looking for that prosciutto once we'd be back home, but still came in with him to get myself an orange cream soda and order some garlic knots (Brian offered to pay, in a separate transaction from the pizza itself).
Just as we were about to drive back home, a store employee came up to us and gave us the pepperoni pie that Brian had actually ordered, without even bothering to exchange our coupons for money. That negated any need to look for that prosciutto.

Brian went upstairs after we ate, to look into installing the air conditioner up there, and Emily followed him with Maris. Mom soon texted me to go up in case he needs help, but all I really had to do was help him extract the inner workings from the frame. He managed to take care of things mostly by himself from there (I did have to help him lift the insides back into the frame), but either he or Emily (can't remember who) suggested I put some music on. Played a bunch of anime opening themes on YouTube, followed by one ending theme (for ChäoS;HEAd), four dance songs, and this musical number from Spitting Image.
At one point, Maris got a hold of my cubic dice sitting on the desk. While she played with those for several minutes, I spotted her putting them half-inside her mouth, and shouted at her on a kneejerk reaction, lest they slip inside and choke her. She started crying, and Brian pointed out not to yell at such a small child like that over what he assumed to be simply getting saliva all over them (Emily did rinse them off and put them on the kitchen windowsill).
-
After Brian finished up with the apartment AC, he and I went down to install one of two units that Mom had ordered, which I brought up the front steps and into the foyer all by myself Tuesday evening so that no one can steal them (Brian was not home at the moment; Mom did text me about such a move), in my bedroom. (The other one is for Mom's room, since the one we used to install in the dining room mainly for Dad is rather loud.)
