dmxratedSo it turns out that Elizabeth is actually a manager. I assumed she was a team lead or something, because I only ever spoke to Doreen in the manager office, not in the main part of the store.
Found out yesterday, because the office was empty when I arrived, and I wound up speaking to a team lead named Bexsi.
Swung by the manager office again after my first fifteen-break, but there was an orientation or something already going on. Went to the front of the store again, and got in touch with team lead Cecilia, who had me write a short letter and suggested I speak to Doreen personally at around 3:00.
Come 3, Cecilia asked me whether I'd like to keep working at the store until the 6th or the 11th, as in whether to include this current workweek in what I specified in the letter as "these next two weeks" (I was never scheduled for the 7th, and the 12th begins an early Thanksgiving get-together at Aunt Marie's house). I went with the 6th.
3:30 was my scheduled meal break, and I got myself a chicken pesto flatbread and a peanut butter cup smoothie at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, where I have the most points saved up out of anywhere around the store.
Concluding that at 4:30, Doreen still wasn't in the manager office, but I wound up following someone else inside. Asked him whether or not unused paid time off gets compensated to me, but he specified that to hold true only for regular PTO, not protected PTO.
6:00, one hour before my shift was to end, decided to get a Nitro Cold Brew at Starbucks, using money I still have on my in-app gift card. I had already made a point not to limit myself anymore to protein smoothies and sugar-free coffee, but by that point, I wasn't in the mood for more sweet stuff, after having already had that smoothie along with a caramel macchiato at Bagel Boss Deli from before I started my shift. And by a happy coincidence, it just so happens that I only need one more of those for some stars, and another still for more still, before I use up both my gift card remainder (to combine with either credit or cash) and my star balance.

Currently, I have a total now of 20 hours and 39 minutes of PPTO. WeatherUnderground predicts endless rain starting at 12 tomorrow, so I will be taking then off if that doesn't get re-predicted for later. After I go on to take Saturday off, being already unscheduled for Sunday, barring another rainy day, I will be taking the 5th off, before using any remaining whole hours towards a lateness on the 6th.
