I took the day off from school yesterday, at the advice Mom gave me the previous night. I've been quite busy reading Desirable Daughters, but on Wednesday night, I noticed that I had another essay and reaction paper for Psychology (and it's a good thing that those essays don't require much more than one page). I even admitted to Mom that it was due the next day, but I also insisted that I would rather just turn it in late. That's when Mom suggested I take the next day off, and I did. Yesterday morning, I put as much focus as possible into the papers, and continued reading Desirable Daughters when I finished them. However, when Mom came home, she had a look at them, and told me that I need to expand upon several things a bit more. In fact, she got pissed because she thought I spent more time doing everything else (such as talking to Jake), when in fact, the only other thing I did was spend less than a minute on the VGmusic forum each time I checked it for updates.

Megan came over yesterday, and Mom and I spoke to her about my situation. She suggested that I email Dr. Baker to ask if I could get some extra time to take the upcoming essay. At first, Mom and I both agreed to it, but after Megan left, we got to it. Mom told me to write that I have Asperger's Syndrom (which I do, mind you) and that the reason why I couldn't take the Midterm was because I wasn't given the amount of time that I needed to remember what I read. I insisted instead that I was just going to tell her the whole truth and nothing but the truth, which is that I had nothing to remember because I was too busy with my other subjects to reread all the required material. I told her that what I was hoping to get was that she'd let me have a week to do the take-home essay, even though everyone else voted in-class, but Mom asked me why she should make an exception for me just because I'm autistic. She then asked me if I was willing to do the entire essay within just the regular allotted time, and I said yes. I'm not going to lie to anyone just to get extra time for a test. She then told me to just X out of Blackboard altogether.

Mom then had to leave the house to pick Dad up from somewhere. Before they came home, they called the house, and I picked up the phone. They told me to tell Marie that we were eating out somewhere. When we were all in the car, we decided to go to Ruby Tuesday's. That's the first time we've ever eaten there, and I ordered a Smokehouse Burger. I ate the whole thing, but didn't eat any of my French fries. (I usually don't eat fries anyway.)
