Dec. 17th, 2007 08:58 amYesterday, we were supposed to go down to New Jersey to pay Uncle Robby and Grandpa Bob a visit, but the weather was icy and terrible for driving in. When Mom called Aunt Allison, she told her that it was even worse down in Pennsylvania, so instead, Uncle Robby and Cousin Adam came to visit us.
I'm not sure if I already mentioned that we got the Christmas tree half a week ago, but yesterday, me and Marie started putting the bead chains and ornaments on it. Brian was still asleep at the time, so he didn't participate.
Marie also showed us this orange koosh ball that she got at a birthday party two nights ago. I became obsessed with it, doing all kinds of things with it such as squeezing it to see part of it bubble out. That thick rubber feels really good on my fingers and palms. Marie even suggested that we see if Sabrina fetches it, and then got another idea to put it by Brian's head while he's sleeping.
As of yesterday, I was working on some pic while Brian and Adam were playing Super Smash Brothers Melee. Later on, while we were eating dinner, I started getting ansy, first because I wanted to lie down instead of sitting in my chair after having eaten. I did clear most of the dishes from the table (without being told), but after maybe fifteen minutes of me being annoying, Dad told me to load the dishwasher as well.
After dinner, Adam went on the computer for a while, and I continued to be a nuisance. Dad, Grandma, and Uncle Robby were watching Planet Earth on the Discovery Channel, and first, I asked Robby how much longer he's staying. He joked that he was going to stay for the night until I reach breaking point. I joked back that I already passed the point of annoyance. I can't really explain every detail of what I did after that, but some of them included asking what time it is (once), moaning, fake-snoring, and muttering things along the lines of "I can't wait until they leave so that I can have the computer to myself."
It stopped after a while, and I went into the computer room to watch some videos that Adam was watching. Brian and Marie were also watching the videos with him. Most of them were just funny-cat videos, such as this one. I left, but when I came back later on, Adam was playing games on AddictingGames.com, such as this puzzle game where you control a block and guide it across an arrangement of squares.
Some time after Robby and Adam left, Marie was on the computer, and Mom told her to let me on. I told Marie that she could stay on, and then Mom told me that I need to learn to make our guests feel welcome after all the trouble that they go through driving all the way up here. Dad then told me that sometimes, it's best just to keep my mouth shut under circumstances like last night.
