If I use any of the terms in the lj-cut in future posts of this blog, please refer to this entry for details. Make sure you've also read my recent entry for the summaries first.

Giygas: A destructive form of energy, made of the essence of the false goddess Pfizgiy after her recent attack on Mon World. It takes the form of a given element, and takes on the powers based on that element.

(This idea was borrowed from the Earthbound fanfic E Revolution. You don't actually have to play the game to understand the fic, as it runs on its own canon. Read the fic to get an idea of how Giygas works.)

Giygas Crystals: Twenty-four stones, each containing a smaller sample of gold or silver, designed to contain each raw form of Giygas. Each pair of stones is made of a birthstone mineral, such as ruby, topaz, or aquamarine. For example, the ruby containing the gold sample is designed to contain Fire-Giygas, and the ruby containing the silver sample is designed to contain Rock-Giygas. (See my 9/16/07 entry for the complete list.)

Once their purpose is fulfilled, they were all supposed to be contained in the Giygas Tomb. However, since Osama bin Laden was the one piloting the machine, he used two of them (Water and Poison, both aquamarines) to create the Slime-Giygas and a new crystal with which to control it. Big mistake!!!

Giygas Tomb: A golden, underground palace accessible only through a hole in the ground. This hole is covered by a magic force which makes it blend in with the rest of the ground, and the palace itself is located (ironically) within Man World. Most of the palace is accessible by walking, but somewhere within is a chamber with no doors. This chamber is exactly the place where the Giygas Crystals are quarantined after they contain their respective form of Giygas.

Mystic Gene: The gene that allows people to use magic powers. Most commonly used in Mon World, but mostly forgotten in Man World and Mech World.

Professor David McKnight was the first person in Man World to have his gene activated, which was during his childhood. Ever since then, he devoted his life on further study of the gene. Research revealed that the gene is most efficient when activated between the ages of 8 through 13. Furthermore, an element in one's gene can only reach its full potential if it is the only element present in that person's Mystic Gene. A third fact also reveals that teleportation is also possible with this gene (regardless of which elements are contained in it), but only in groups matching a multiple of six. Putting these three facts together, he then founded the Cult of McKnight in New York City specifically for the purpose of selecting eighteen children fulfilling the required criteria and consequently activating their Mystic Genes.

Years later, a second way of activating the Mystic Gene would be discovered by McKnight. The organic, artificial liquid form of Slime-Giygas would be that means, but those who are infected by it are unaware of its activation, and are also put under the control of Osama bin Laden, the person who invented and controls the Slime-Giygas.

Cult of McKnight: A cult formed by Professor David McKnight within New York City. Its sole purpose is to determine who will be a member of the Supporting Mon Colle Knights. Four others, however, will have to be recruited from outside the Cult. (The remaining two are Mondo Ohya and Rockna Hiragi, the true Mon Colle Knights.)

Supporting Knights: Eighteen children selected from the Cult of McKnight. They will initially access Mon World through a teleportation technique that requires a group of an exact multiple of six.

Quadrant Knights: Comprised of Beginner, Luke, Katsuo Hiragi, and Eric Ledger. These four, with the respective elements of Ice, Earth, Darkness, and Gold, are recruited from outside the Cult of McKnight at the beginning of Book Two: Parallel Conflicts.

Monster Weapons: The weapon versions of each Monster Item in existence. They amplify the respective powers in the wielder's Mystic Gene. For example, Mondo's gene has only the powers of the element Fire; therefore, he will use the Bronze Candle, which becomes the Bronze Edge and vice versa at his will. (There are no items/weapons for Fighting, Psychic, Night, or Time.)

Necro-demons: A race of black-skinned humanoid demons from the Evil Realm. They have active Mystic Genes, but their specialty is the power to raise the undead. However, even they are not immune to the effects of being bitten by the zombies that they give life to.

Neo-Earth: The combined form of Mon World and Man World, and eventually Mech World as well.

Slime-Giygas: An artificial form of Giygas created by Osama bin Laden. It takes the form of either raw, green slime or artificial lifeforms comprised of this substance. Anyone infected by either of these are unknowingly put under the telepathic control of bin Laden. However, even bin Laden himself has been gradually losing control of its energy in recent years.

Bio-demons: The true forms of the "characters" that Osama bin Laden created. These are the artificial lifeforms comprised of the Slime-Giygas that bin Laden created.

Giygaslayer: A teleporting war machine built in Mech World, designed to combat Giygas while it was still contained in Mon World. It resembles a giant, robotic crab with a large, organic eyeball where its face would normally be. Attacks mainly by firing various projectiles from its eye and its claws.

During its mission, however, the original pilot became fatally ill, and during a trip to Man World, he yielded the instructions and the machine itself to Osama bin Laden. Years later, after recruiting Takeshi Okimichi and others from prisons worldwide, Takeshi told him about his prior experiences with the Mon Colle Knights. Bin Laden saw this as an opportunity to yeild the machine to Takeshi while he does other things such as hijacking the Utopian Eagle.

Nickelodeon Base: An organic fortress planted/built where the World Trade Center formerly stood. It resembles a giant tree comprised of many red, vein-like membranes.

Spacequarters: A giant fortress floating miles away from Neo Earth. This is where the Mon Colle Knights will spend most of Book Four: Chaotic Future (whenever they're not on missions).

CONTRA: An international military organization, whose name stands for 'Community of Nations to Repel Attacks.' During Book Four: Chaotic Future, this organization is committed to the eradication of both Giygas and the Mon Colle Knights.

Space Link: A high-tech cannon in Mech World, originally built in order to obliterate an extremely large meteorite that threatened the planet. It also needs the power of the same meteorite in order to merge Mech World with Neo Earth; thus it is the Knights' job in Book Five: The Truth Behind the Quests to look for every last piece of this meteor.

There. Glad to have that out of the way. I might post a timeline of the ficseries very soon, but the descriptions for each of the Supporting Knights is going to have to wait until I get around to it. Creating these existing MCC-related entries was a grueling enough task as it was, and I was only able to focus on one item a day.
