It sucks when you're waiting days and days for two things to happen. I've been waiting for Martin to be available on AIM, and I can't find Makeruna Makendou Z anywhere. LanceTheYoung, a friend of Martin's who I also recently made friends with, has been on often enough, but there are things that I'd like to talk about specifically with Martin. As for MMZ, I can't find the damn game anywhere. Not on Ebay, not on any ROM sites, not from any online stores, not anywhere. Maybe TheNewX still has his ISO copy of the game, and maybe it somehow got deleted, but either way, I'd still appreciate it if he'd at least respond to my note to him as soon as possible, instead of simply ignoring me.

I also found out last night that CDJapan, the last remaining online store to sell Mon Colle Knights on DVD, is now sold out of them. Good thing I have all the DVDs (volume 13 on VHS), so that I can host them on Veoh sometime this year.

Now, about the title. Well, I previously did mention that Knuckles Chaotix was the only game on the Sega 32X that ever held my interest. But unlike the 32X, which doesn't even have very many games, let alone anime games, the Saturn and the PC-FX both have an abundance of anime games to make them seem worthwhile. I desperately would like to play the PC-FX exclusive Makeruna Makendou Z as soon as possible, whether it be on an ISO or a genuine game disk. Will I invest in either console while I'm still playing Pokemon Pearl? After I beat the Elite Four, I might, assuming that I still don't receive MMZ from TheNewX or find it elsewhere. Getting a new console, though, means that I'm gonna need another bin for under the bed. So, which will come first? Will it be the Saturn, will it be the PC-FX? Or will Brian invest in one of today's consoles, such as the Wii, so that he can play games like Super Mario Galaxy? Well, let's look at the pros and cons:

Saturn:

-Supports Game Tengoku among other games.

-Did get released in the United States, which means that a handful of anime games (most notably, Grandia) also got a U.S. release.

-Relatively cheap to buy on Ebay. (I came across one ending in 30 minutes last night, costing $30 plus shipping, and which never got any bids. The cheapest PC-FX I found cost $105, plus $75 for shipping, which totals out to $180, so even combining the cost of additional hardware and a few games still doesn't amount to getting just the PC-FX alone.)

-A PC-FX might not be quite so worthwhile if Makeruna Makendou Z is made available as an ISO or received through email, and possibly gets a translation patch written for it.

PC-FX:

-Supports Makeruna Makendou Z. I don't care as much about anything else, not even Game Tengoku. Game Tengoku is just one obscure game that somehow stands out among other games on the Saturn. MMZ, however, is a sequel to a Super NES game that I read about in Nintendo Power, then downloaded, and later, wrote a fanfic particularly to feature the main character.

-Not released outside Japan; no extra hardware necessary to at least run the games.

-If I miss out on the next opportunity to buy MMZ hoping he will, and TheNewX never does respond to my request before or afterwards, then I'll probably never be able to play it.

Okay, what about the other 32-bit game, Snowboard Kids Plus? Like MMZ, it's not available anywhere, but the Playstation 2 has the ability to play 32-bit Playstation games, as well as its own 128-bit games. If I ever do come across a copy of that game, I'd be sure to buy it, and all I'd need is some hardware to override the PS2's regional lockout code.
