Yesterday, I had an appointment with Dr. Perret, so I had to take a bus to the hospital to meet with Mom. I brought my Nintendo DS w/ Ontamarama with me, but never took it out the whole time I was away from home.

Not much had happened at the hospital. First, Mom gave me some money to get some food at the cafeteria. I bought a pair of chocolate-covered strawberries and a pair of rainbow cookies. Neither of them tasted very good. After that, I just spent part of the time in the waiting room, where everyone was watching some Travel Channel show about donuts, and part of the time having a walk outside on the side of the parking lot. Before we left, Mom brought me to the hospital bank to deposit the several checks that had been sitting in my dresser drawer for a while now.

During my visit with Dr. Perret, I spoke to him about Mom, Dad, and Marie's habit of teasing me, and looked for why I mind it as well as how I could deal with it so that it stops. He suggested that instead of using the aggressive tactics that I use, I should either tease them back, ignore them, or assert myself and tell them to stop. I'd go with the last of the three. I also brought up the idea of moving into a dorm at my school, which is something that Mom brought up with me nights ago after speaking about it with Megan. The other night, I automatically told Mom that I wasn't interested, but after having reconsidered, I discussed the possible advantages and disadvantages with Dr. Perret. To keep things short, it would most likely be a good idea for me.

After that session ended, Mom dropped me off at Borders before spending an hour at the nail salon. Before dropping me off, she gave me a buy-one-get-one coupon for drinks. Upon walking into the store, I used the coupon to get a cookies w/ Oreo and a Creme Caramel, along with two pieces of caramel. It all costed $5.24. After finishing them, I went to the manga section, and took out volume 5 of Sgt. Frog. I read the rest of it, and then went outside the store to have a walk. Mom called shortly to let me know she would pick me up.

On the way home, Mom had the radio on, and we heard this commercial for both Sleepy's mattresses and the new Incredible Hulk movie. That's quite a creative idea, that the narrator's ordinary mattress was so uncomfortable that it eventually makes him so angry as to become the Hulk.

While we were home, Marie called us to let us know that there was a tornado forming over New York. She described it as such, and I asked if a tornado could really form up in New York. Mom told me that one had hit Hempstead the other day, but they're not nearly as severe as the ones in Oklahoma.

It was still somewhat bright outside last night at 8:00. I had a sugar headache, and couldn't fall asleep, but at the same time, didn't feel like playing Dark Cloud 2 either. Mom suggested that I have some cheese for protein, and having a slice made me feel considerably better.

Later, Mom was watching something on WLIW21, called Silence of the Bees. The show discussed the problem of Colony Collapse Disorder, what's causing it, and how it will eventually affect us if it isn't solved in due time. There is no single cause for the problem, but a whole myriad of agents responsible for the mass deaths of bee colonies. Of course, I don't study bees, so there really isn't anything I could do to slow it down. All we can do is let the farmers and scientists do their job and hope that a solution is found.
