dmxratedTwo days ago, I met up with Victor regarding a Dowling Project outing, and he said that weekends are not good days to have them because everyone else in the group is unavailable. Megan was also supposed to meet us, but didn't show up at first. I went out into the hall while waiting for her, and then it occurred to me that after 4:00 on Tuesdays would be better for outings.
That night, I had a meeting with Dr. Perret, and I showed him a notepad where I previously wrote my speculations as to why the Makeruna! Makendou trilogy was mostly a failure and what I plan on doing to revive it. He did say that such a feat would be possible, but would carry all kinds of technical and legal issues to overcome. So, if I can get capital to run a regular video game publishing company, I might just look into creating an official fourth game. However, that's not a guarantee, which is why I have the fallback plan of making a fangame to host on the Makendou website.
I had also discussed the risk of being brought to court for hosting copyrighted material online. He said that there in fact had been a crackdown years ago, where random hard drives containing illegal files were seized to set examples for other violators. However, that turned out to be more trouble for the companies suing the infringers than was worthwhile. This is why they use simpler methods such as creating viruses and complaining to YouTube. Another crackdown could happen, but probably won't.
The day after I won that PC-FX, I got a message saying that it's being shipped via sea mail, and will probably take 6-12 weeks to arrive. No big deal, since I'm focusing instead on Pokemon for now.
I finally got started with my Psychology paper yesterday, and got the first page finished.
Mabel (the name we agreed upon for our cat) slept on my bed last night. Mom suggested that I let her, so that she doesn't bother her and Dad. I was careful enough not to accidentally move my legs under her while sleeping. This morning, though, I started playing Pokemon FireRed, and she put her out of my room as soon as she started to nip on my documents.
