UFO sightings
Jun. 8th, 2005 11:34 amIn the past, I've seen commercials for shows about UFO sightings, which was on either the History or Discovery Channel. Recently, I became worried about this because if there really were UFO sightings here and there, chances are that we humans would face the same fate that our ancestors brought onto the Indians several hundred years ago. This has been portrayed on movies such as Mars Attacks and Independence Day, except that we probably wouldn't win.
Yesterday before school, I looked up some website about it on Google, which I told Mom and Dad about later that day. Dad told me that there are all kinds of wacky people who spend their whole lives worrying about this, and this is why we have shows such as Area 51. This morning, while Dad was driving me to school, he told me that any race that could make it light years all the way here probably wouldn't have the same problems we have right now. For one thing, they wouldn't need oil or other such minerals, and here we are at war with the Middle East for oil which we use to start cars with. Most likely, any extraterrestrial objects that came here more likely came here to observe humans as a species.
(Of course, if the aliens on Independence Day were good, there wouldn't be a movie because there would be no conflict.)
