Did any websites similar to this one exist in 1998 or prior?

I've just reflected back on my life in 7th Grade, which was 1998-99, and I am looking for any journal accounts that existed back then. When I looked for livejournal users who enjoy anime, none of the accounts I found dated past the beginning of 2000. I also checked Blurty and Myspace, and they have no history past 2003. If someone can name any other journal sites for me, please leave a comment or email me. Thanks.
