Brian had his birthday party yesterday, which he was supposed to have last month. When I got home from work, Mike, Talia, and Shannon were already at our house. We didn't think very many people were going to participate, though, because of the snowstorm that's still taking place since last night, but a lot of people did show up later on.
In the meantime, Mike showed us this online video with a dog and an alien. It's not violent, but it is rather scary nonetheless. Instead of spoiling it for you, I'm just gonna give you the link:

He also brought this game called Dance Dance Revolution, and we had it set up in the living room, on a different TV set from what we watch TV on. I gave it a try after Mike finished, and it was confusingly fast for me, since I'm not that experienced with that game.
Everyone else went into the dining room to chat, and I decided to play the Green Hills theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for them, off of VGMusic. It played three or four times over before Marie told me that Brian wanted it turned down. I turned it off instead, actually.
Later on, a lot of people were here, and they all went down into the basement to watch a guitar performance. I decided not to go down there, though, because it was extremely loud, and I would've rather been on my computer, playing a game with myself to see whose Digimon get what digivolutions for my Digimon fanfic (that is, with Digidex, Microsoft Word, and some dice).
When everyone came back upstairs, those that wanted to watch a DVD watched episodes of Rocko's Modern Life in the living room. The rest of Brian's friends were in the dining room talking with one another. Meanwhile, I was still on the computer, and I engaged in an AIM conversation with Jake. ( Read more... ) After the conversation ended, I played the Diamond Dust theme from Sonic 3D Blast several times over, but of course, most of our visitors would've been oblivious to it. Brian plugged the headphones in a few minutes after I started playing it.
Most of us then went outside to watch some fireworks. They were all sparklers, though; no explosions.
Later that night, when there were like only seven people remaining at our house, we watched The War of the Worlds. I decided to watch the whole movie again with them, even though I had already seen it before.
(So now I have something to talk about with Libby over the phone.)
