Mar. 20th, 2006 06:04 amLast night, Grandma Ella came over to celebrate my birthday. Mom made a Boston cream pie for dessert. The icing didn't exactly look appealing, but it was still good. There were no candles because I threw the old ones out, figuring that Mom could get more, but it was no big deal. (Previously, I mentioned that we had a Boston cream pie for my birthday. I got it confused. It was actually a cake with cookies 'n' cream icing, with chocolate syrup zigzagged over it.)
Brian got this game called We Love Katamari, in which you have to roll this ball to pick things up and expand its radius. Marie gave it a try, but I'm not really that interested. It is fun watching him, though.
During dinner, Dad said that the asteroid probably won't hit Earth after all. Newsday makes it seem like scientists predict these things with computers, but in truth, they collide into eachother all the time, and even the best telescopes can't detect them.
The cake was rather messy to serve out, but still good. After eating it, I opened up a card from Grandma and two gifts from the whole family. I got $20 in the card, and the gifts contained volume 4 of Sgt. Frog and volume 3 of Battle Vixens.
After we ate cake, I watched two taped episodes of The King of Queens with the rest of the family. Marie didn't watch though, because she was on the computer probably doing her homework.
