Sep. 30th, 2006 07:00 amI won an auction for Sonic Advance 2 two nights ago, and my game link cable arrived yesterday.
Yesterday, I went out to a DDI trip to this restaurant called Gasho of Japan. I ordered a samurai steak, which costed $21.95, plus extra for a drink. While we were there, I started a brief chat with the man next to me, who introduced himself as Ed. I asked him what he was doing recently, and the biggest event he had was some wedding. He says his interests include sports and movies. He stopped playing video games a long time ago, and he watches some anime but doesn't read manga. He's 33 years old, and I have nothing in common with him.
After we finished eating and paying for our food, we then went to an ice cream parlor called Cold Stone. I ordered a cup of cheesecake-flavored ice cream, topped with York peppermint patties, M&Ms, and white chocolate chips. It was delicious, but this will be the last time I order Yorks with it, since those are hard to chew.
Last stop: Borders. I called Mom to come pick me up, and she asked me if I had permission from Irv, the person in charge. I told her he allowed me to, and in fact, someone else was calling their own mother. While I waited for her, I decided to have a sneak peek at volume 11 of Sgt. Frog. I haven't even started reading volume 5, but apparently, some kind of plot is finally unfolding. Yet, the series has yet to continue with volume 12.

Once Mom arrived, she had to pick up a wedding card for Lauren, because she's getting married next week. Then, she had to drive over to Macy's, which was only a few yards away, to pick up some new sheets for her bed; the one she has ripped. But, that was it for last night.
