Brian came home yesterday, and he'll be here until Sunday. During dinner, I told him that we need new computer speakers, but he told us that working pairs come really cheap on Ebay, since they last longer than the actual computer.

He also told us about other things, like the squirrels on his campus, who eat from the garbage since it's available to them. I asked him if they would survive if the trash was removed from their diet. Dad said that a fed squirrel is a dead squirrel, but Brian said that they'd probably adapt. There are plenty of acorns around as well.

Ms. Bond, one of my math teachers in 10th grade, came over to tutor Marie. I greeted her when she arrived, but Mom wanted minimal chaos while she was here, which meant that we had to stay put at one side of the house. For the most part, I was in the middle of a convo with Jake and Martin, so there wasn't any problem.

Speaking of which, as for naming the babyfic, I gave Jake a list of sample names, and he chose "The Furrysitters' Club." I also shared the idea with Martin and Carlos, as well as showing Martin my babyfic review compilation from the other night. Martin said that he read every one of those fics listed except for A Rose and a Thorn 2: Eclipse. I warned him not to read that one if he's squeamish, and he said he's not. Jake said that the gist of the babyfic sounds by-the-numbers, meaning not very original, but could still work. I asked both my other friends (after getting Jake's permission earlier) if they wanted to role play the fic, but neither of them were able to.

Jake is having a really hard time at his hotel, and he probably won't be updating or working on any fanfiction for at least a month. I was able to talk to him about the problem, even though there's obviously nothing I can do to help him physically. As of right now, all I can do to get anywhere with the babyfic I so desperately want to see posted is role-play it with Martin and Carlos.

Mom had to take Marie to school this morning to take her SAT, and Brian decided to come so he could meet one of his old teachers. From what I understand, though, the school faculty gave Brian a hard time for not having a visitor's pass, and he had to come back home.

When I went onto the VGMusic forum today, I found this thread stating that some website called The Sonic Center is re-opened. I wasn't able to access it through Google, though, so I had to put it on the Favorites list. I'm glad I found it, though, because it has some songs that still have yet to appear on VGMusic. In fact, VGM has absolutely NO Knuckles Chaotix MIDIs, but since most of them are at TSC, that eliminates the need to somehow get the game working on my Sega Genesis emulator.

I listened to some, but needed to crank up the speaker volume knob all the way, since they're going deaf and Marie had my headphones with her. In fact, I need to buy some new speakers off of Ebay, because whenever a headset is plugged in, you have to keep adjusting the plug in order to hear from even just one ear (which is annoying), let alone both ears.

Mom had to bring me with her when she picked up Marie, so that I could pick up my Japanese dictionary, which I requested from another library. I also picked up four MAD Magazines for the first time in a while.

I had a really good chat with Brian today. I just told him about various this and that, nothing important actually, but like they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. He asked me to send him my AIM screen name, fanfiction.net pen name, and a link to this blog. I'll be sure to do so right after he moves back upstate.
