Dec. 30th, 2006 07:34 amMom came to pick me up from Bowling yesterday. We spent an hour at home packing the car up, although I spent part of that time talking to Jake. Marie's rat had already been brought to Joe's house, but we needed to bring Sabrina with us, which meant rounding her up and putting her in a rather small pet cage.
I continued working on the details for Jamie's fic while we were on our way to Virginia, but it wasn't as comfortable as being able to roll dice on the futon. That back seat doesn't have much room, and having some stuff back there with you doesn't help either.
We made several stops along the way. The first stop, Marie begged Dad to buy her a honeybun. I don't like honeybuns, so I declined. Mom gave me $3.25 to buy some ice cream, but it wasn't enough. Dad gave me $2 more, and I bought some soft oreo ice cream in a cup.
Later on, we stopped at Arby's to buy dinner. I had a salad and a Sierra Mist.
After we left, I had a nap in the back seat. We were in Delaware at the time, but when I woke up, we were already almost to Norfolk, Virginia. Sleeping in that seat isn't exactly comfortable, and I continued sleeping when we got to Grandma's, though not before greeting everyone. Mickey (one of her terriers) and Taz (her other dog, not a terrier) also greeted us, but Grandma told us that Pippi (her other terrier) got hit by a car last Thursday. Too bad that Pippi isn't the one who's getting old and will need to be put to sleep.
