Mar. 17th, 2007 06:41 amIt snowed the whole day yesterday. Marie had Scott over the whole day, and Brian came home.
Yesterday morning, I realized I missed my midterm exam for HTML, and sent my teacher an email asking if I should withdraw. I then told Mom I might need to do so, and then she spoke to me about getting my priorities straight instead of avoiding them. I admitted that I'm doing worse in Visual Basic, but we then decided that I would take the midterm anyway and turn it in, and from now on, take hours off of workstudy if I need to do so. Ms. Wakefield said that March 19 is the last day I'm allowed to withdraw, but I told her I'm going to stick with the class, and that I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't get credit for a late exam.
I showed Brian my current spritework of Tiara when he got home, and even obtained Sonik Sprite 2.0 from someone in the Sonic Cult Hacking Forum, but I'm going to stop right there. I spoke to the creator of Sonik Sprite across AIM (penname: Sonik Studio), and he told me that originally, it was designed only to work with Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2. Whoever it was that designed it to work with everything else didn't finish the job, because even though I'm able to work with sprites from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, I'm unable to change the sprites within the game. Whereas, I uploaded one of Sonic's sprites from Sonic 2, placed a red dot in his eye, and just that simple change showed up in Sonic 2. I sent an email to drx (the owner of hacking cult, who also made some hacking tools himself) asking him what I need to know or get to make something for S3&K, but I will also ask Sonik Studio when I get a chance.
Last night after dinner, we had a Boston cream pie for my birthday. I cut the first slice for myself, and then Mom cut the rest of it up. I got Dark Cloud 2, the game that I asked for for my birthday, along with some checks from each of my currently living grandparents. After we had cake, I then suggested that we watch an episode of The Muppet Show. Dad showed Brian that YouTube clip of Buddy Rich vs Animal while I set up an episode. I rolled some dice, and selected Twiggy's episode. Most of the clips in that episode were rather lame, save for the first one which featured some feather-covered monster and five colored "lines" in the background, but the idea of the "Phantom of the Muppet Show" was pretty good.
