Yesterday, Marie's friends Scott and Elynn (was that her name?) came over to watch Marie in some program called Battle of the Books. This was a contest in which she teamed up with people from her library to compete against other school districts in answering all kinds of trivia questions about various books. Her team had chosen to dress up as various jungle animals for a safari theme, but other teams weren't so theme-oriented. For example, there was the "Harborfield Schnoopers", in which students from Harborfield school district simply wore black t-shirts with the Harborfield Schnoopers logo on it. (One kid dressed up as Tarzan, but he didn't participate in the contest.)

Brian's friend Seth also came over, but the two of them just played Super Smash Brothers Melee until about 10:30.
