Since two nights ago, Marie has been babysitting Scott's little sister. Scott and his parents have been going out somewhere where they couldn't bring her. Last night, from overhearing a phone conversation between Mom and Marie, I learned that the two girls went to some haunted house, and someone else got scared and yanked Marie's jacket, accidentally ripping some of the buttons off.

Yesterday, Mom brought Brian up to Dowling when she was on her way to pick me up. I showed Brian around my workplace, as well as in the cafeteria. He commented on how nice it is to have a river by the school, which could be seen just across the cafeteria from the hallway. I asked him if he'd like to buy anything from the cafeteria, and he declined because he eats enough junk food at Cornell. Upon returning to the parking lot, Brian asked what river that is and if Dad could possibly sail us to that particular place. Mom told him that it's the Conetquot River, and the tide is too low to sail through it.

Mom then took us to a hair salon, one on Route 112 which we've never been to. Brian was first to get his hair cut, and while I was waiting, another employee asked two girls who would like to go first to get manicured and pedicured. They said it doesn't matter, and I jokingly got up and said I'll go.
