Oct. 31st, 2007 06:39 amDr. Schaefer postponed the due date for our Political Thought essays until November 6, the former deadline being tomorrow. Good. That will give me time today to work on my new Discussion Preparation Guide for Anthropology, which is to be handed in to Dr. Cole tomorrow.
Yesterday, Mom asked me what we should have for dinner. I suggested we have burgers, and when I went into the basement for something, Mom asked me to bring up a potato on my way up. She then told me to prick it with a fork, and I ended up prying it into chunks with that fork instead. Mom told me that if I don't know what I'm doing (which I thought I did), I should ask her. When we had dinner that night, I told Dad and Marie about this new form of French fries I accidentally invented. (Speaking of inventing something from potatoes, did you know how potato chips were invented? ( Read more... )
Two days ago, I downloaded both Ronald's Treasure Land Adventure and Mick & Mack as the Global Gladiators, both for my Sega Genesis emulator. I was actually looking for the latter, but found out its name in Wikipedia, after downloading the former. I remember, when I was in 3rd Grade, this kid named Tom had Global Gladiators. Steven and I went to his house several times before he moved away that year, and once, we watched him play that game. He kept dying and dying on the first level, but the respective song was actually better than one would expect from anything like a McDonald's game. In contrast to this, I beat the very first level on the first try, having first played it myself just yesterday, but the farthest I got was in the third level of the first world, and that was just last night.
(If one wanted to and had the skills, he or she could make a Mon Colle Knights hack out of it. First, change Mick, Mack, and Ronald into Mondo, Rockna, and Professor Hiragi, and then take care of the details. Change the M's into Mon World symbols, eliminate any voice-based sound effects, and change the face on the lives panel to match Mondo's or Rockna's.)
Last night, Marie called Brian on her cell phone (rather than on the house phone), and we all had a turn chatting with him. I spoke to him about my previous blog entry. Or more specifically, about the Calvin & Hobbes pic I linked to, and then about my forum thread which got locked. I promised to post the link to that thread because Brian has not had much time to relax due to three tests (I think that's what he said) that he had to take. I then told him that I still have yet to block out some time to work on the one-shot Sgt. Frog fic that Jake and I discussed, but hopefully, I'll do that this weekend now that I'm almost done with my Political Science essay.
Anyway, I might or might not copy the thread onto this blog. It's kinda interesting to look back at, even though some of the participants made fun of me for something I said. In any case, here's the link (even though the topic will be deleted within a week):
