Dec. 1st, 2007 05:44 amSo far, I'm still reading the Java book I got last Monday, even though I got another book two nights ago which covers actually making video games. So far, I've written some data down for Hikari (as we'll continue to call her), Baby Mario, and the level scores, but I also have the Chunnel project to work on.
I also asked Martin last Monday to draw a pic of Hikari changing Baby Mario's diaper. I would do it myself, but I can't focus on both Java and artwork at the same time. I contacted him two days ago, at which he said he was too busy with everything else (understandable), and then last night, at which he said he had some outlines for it. I did talk about other stuff last night, and towards the end of the convo, he asked me to let someone screen-named Lancetheyoung know that he was using the phone and would be right back. Lance (whose real name is Adam) did sign on, and I contacted him, and ended up being friends with him. We didn't have a very long convo, but we shared our interests, and I gave him the link to the Angry Video Game Nerd's website, which he said he'll save for later.
(I wish I could track the progress of fics or pics that I request or even just look forward to. My library job does nothing to get the pic in question off my mind, but at least Java does.
