Since yesterday, I've decided to have a break from reading my Java book.

First thing yesterday morning, the desktop to our computer had been a photo of Mom, Uncle Robby, and Aunt Allison. Mom had her eyes crossed, and Uncle Robby was sticking his tongue out. I didn't like it, so I replaced that desktop with my deviantart pic of Rockna in a bikini (which I started to refine the previous day). I also started working on a completely new pic after replacing the desktop, but I'll state what it is once I'm either done or close enough to being finished with it.

While I was at work yesterday, after I got finished with unloading one library cart, I got the impulse to run with the cart. It tipped over, and I tripped over it and sprained my left wrist. At least it wasn't broken, but it did and still does hurt to put any weight on it or bend it backwards too much.

When I got home, I was about to finally get started with my third Political Science essay, but something was wrong with Microsoft Word. Whenever I pressed enter, instead of going down the specified number of lines, the text marker would go down all the way to the bottom of the page. I asked Mom to see what's wrong with it, but she couldn't conclude anything. A few minutes later, she and Dad left home to deliver something, and I called Brian for help after they left. Even he was unable to figure it out, but he did suggest that I ask Marie. I then opted instead to write my essay on NotePad for the time being.

While I was asking Mom, though, she did suggest that maybe the desktop would have something to do with it. I tried changing the desktop, but that didn't help. However, just for a joke, I changed the desktop (again) to that pic of Ellen and a Jigglypuff, which Jake sent me through MSN four months ago (check the lj-cut under my entry for August 16, 2007, or just click here to skip right to it).

Speaking of desktops, two days ago, I changed the desktop to that pic/screenshot of Hikari with a big cone-shaped nose. What happened was that I lost the original copy of that pic, and I was trying to see how I could get it back. I remember years ago, when Matthew used to come here, he knew how to take screenshots of this computer with just the press of a button, but I forgot how that's done and can't even look it up on MS Paint. DeviantArt doesn't allow you to tamper with pics that you copy onto your computer either, which doesn't surprise me at all. Oh well, at least making the pic in question wasn't nearly as much work as any of my other pics.

Mom and Dad brought home some Chinese takeout when they got home, so that's when we started eating dinner. Before we did, though, Dad went on the computer to check the WoodenBoat forum, and noticed my desktop. Mom did see my desktop of Rockna from that morning, and she told Dad that I was getting pretty good at drawing, but Dad said that this one was beyond my skill level. Mom was curious, but Dad said that he didn't want to be seeing something like that everytime he walked into the computer room, so he changed the desktop to a photo of Mom on the catboat. I did jokingly say to him, though "Glad you liked it" while we were eating dinner.
