New hope for Makendou?
Apr. 14th, 2008 07:12 amRight now, my focus is on my schoolwork, Chronicles of 7th Grade, and learning Japanese. But when the time comes, I am going to raise funds through the stock market so that I can eventually buy the rights to the Makeruna! Makendou games and the OVA. Hopefully, NEC and Software Sculptors will probably be willing to sell me those rights, since they're not making any money at all off of those items.
Once I've acquired those rights, I will work on making a fourth game and hire people to work on different parts of the game. This game will also come with one or two bonus disks: at least one which will contain translated versions of the existing three games, along with information about Kendo Rage and other things; the second disk will contain the OVA "series" (which is only one half-hour episode long), if that won't fit on the first disk.
So, what will the game be like? I have no idea yet, but I do know that this will be where Joe (from SMW2: Yoshi's Island rewritten) will become canon to the series. Whatever the game is, another thing is for sure that it won't deviate from the original humorous nature from the existing games and OVA, though the gameplay will definitely be much more sophisticated than such.
It's not my goal to bring a lot of fame to the franchise. I just want to give American gamers a chance to enjoy what Makeruna! Makendou really is. And by that, I don't mean what Seta turned the first game into when they renamed it Kendo Rage. Mai, Hikari, and Saya really deserve their share of attention from the American audience, even if it's not nearly as much as Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog.
