Last night is going to be the last time I participate in Dark Cloud 2's Fishing Contest. Every time I win, it's always the same prize: 3 Holy Crystals for 3rd Place, or 3 Wind Crystals for 2nd Place. Ironically, the player's guide lists a whole bunch of prizes for each place, and some walkthrough even says that the prizes are random, but for some reason, this was not the case for me. What is this, a glitch? At least in the Finny Frenzy, the prizes have changed each time I won, which was always 1st Place in the Beginner's level.

I have no reason to go fishing anymore anyway. I now have all the fishing medals that I've previously missed, and I could use the extra time and inventory space from now on. I also have the Lure Rod, which is the prize for getting 1st in the Fishing Contest, and of course, I'm not even gonna be using that anymore either. All fishing bait that I get from this point on will be fed to my racing fish in preparation for each Finny Frenzy contest.
