(no subject)

Yesterday, after I walked out in anticipation to my bus going to school, I noticed the bus was parked all the way down Long Island Avenue by the house where Malik used to live. I walked down there to meet it, and there was some large dog barking in the front yard, but it was on a leash. (I used to go down to that house with David and Jimmy in late 9th grade to play basketball with Malik. What would be wrong with going down that distance nowadays?)

Yesterday was the day that I had to turn in my Anthropology term paper. For that paper, I had to interview someone who went to school at another culture. At first, I chose Marie's roommate Alina from Russia, but she was unable to make time to answer the questions. I then contacted Brian's friend Natalie (from Singapore) and Mom's co-worker Inez (from Columbia), and their combined work was sufficient for me to write eight pages on. Yesterday, however, it finally occurred to me that I could have contacted Jake all along, since he lives in Brazil. I told him about it after my Anthropology class ended, and then told Mom when I got home.

Later, I asked Jake if he would be interested in seeing the interview anyway, just for its own sake. He agreed, and I sent it through email. He still didn't answer, but I did tell him that I'd only expect it if he actually does want to answer them.
