I finally found and bought a copy of Getter Love!! on Ebay. And it only cost a total of $43, which means I ended up saving $21 by not buying the first copy I previously saw on Ebay.

Now, when I receive it, all I'll have to do is test it on my Nintendo 64 to make sure that there really is no face glitch. All that will require is a Nintendo 64 Passport Plus, and if there's no glitch, then I can delete my ROM copies.

(If anything's a coincidence, it's that two nights ago, I dreamed that I finally found a legitimate copy of the game, it didn't have the face glitch, and it even had voice acting. But, then it turned into something resembling the battle mode from Mario Kart 64. That was disappointing, but my heart started racing when I got an email this morning telling me that it came up for real this time. Glad to finally have this game!)

In case anyone's wondering (or had forgotton) what's so special about this game, this is the game that inspired me to continue with Chronicles of 7th Grade a year ago (February 7, 2008). I did get that document finished months ago, but I should go over the last parts to make sure I didn't rush through anything.

I also recently told Aunt Allison about the completion, and promised to show the rest of it to her next time we have a family gathering. That next time is going to be on the 8th of March, which is a(nother) coincidence because that's when the Regigigas Event for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl begins--which in turn coincides with the beginning of Winter Break at Dowling University. (Speaking of which, good thing that the Regigigas Event will go on for two weeks and not just the one day.)

Each revision of the plan involves me playing each of the games I played back in 7th Grade, in the order that I played them in, and then playing Getter Love!! once I finally play all of them. For the last revision thus far, instead of posting it on this blog section by section, I was gonna wait until I finish the line of games before submitting it to get published. However, I reconsidered, and decided that I will start submitting Chronicles of 7th Grade (or, Nolstalgia 64, as I will rename it) as early as possible after proofreading it and writing footnotes and an introduction. That way, I'm hoping to make some royalties off of it before I start posting it on this blog.

In any case, though, I can't begin the 7th Grade game lineup until I complete my translation of Makeruna! Makendou Z. Even though it's only one game, just translating that one game will prove that I'm at least somewhat fluent with reading Japanese. But, when the time finally does come, the Getter Love!! experience will be epic!

(Added: Look at that! It was exactly this day one year ago that I marked the previous Ebay auction for Getter Love!! among some other things on this blog. What another coincidence!)
