Feb. 23rd, 2009 05:41 amBrian and I went to the library yesterday, so that he could copy some pages from two of his books and I could look for some books on how the Internet is affecting the video game industry. While I was talking to the librarian, she hardly found anything, but did look outside Suffolk County for anything relevant. While she was looking, I noticed Thomas Mardolo, who I haven't seen since my time at Suffolk County Community College, standing near me. I chatted briefly with him, and introduced him to Brian, who was just a few steps away at the copy machine. The two of us traded email addresses, and I even gave him the URL to this blog.
Before we left, Brian was doing a search on one of the computers, and one of his female friends greeted him. I don't remember what her name was, but it's a coincidence that both of us each met someone that we're friends with during our time at the library.
So far, it doesn't seem that the relation between the Internet and the gaming industry is gonna be a good choice for my Cyberlife term paper, even though I was able to think up so much stuff in my head. In case I don't find enough articles online, Mom did suggest that I talk about how the Internet relates to libraries and bookstores.
