After I showed Mom the message I got from the seller of Pokemon Diamond, she suggested that I just let it go. $4.50 is hardly worth chasing after.

I also showed Mom Saturday's entry and Chelle's comments. She told me that she can't return the Maburaho DVD set once I take the shrink-wrap off, so I decided to just let her take it back.

And, I finally got started with one of my term papers yesterday.

The new plan

Okay, so I've already gotten a refund for Pokemon Pearl, and I've already established that I'm not giving my current copies of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl to Adam for his birthday.

Looking back on this blog reveals that in 2007/2008, our Christmas visit to Uncle Robby's house had taken place two weeks after Christmas of that year. Two weeks is more than enough time to begin a new game in Pokemon Platinum, take my time as I make my way to Eterna City, and start digging for fossils to trade on some used copies of Diamond and Pearl. That's right, I called GameStop this morning, and they do have used copies of those two games (they didn't say one or the other).

So, here's what I'm gonna do, after some consideration:

1) Get rid of these counterfeit copies of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It doesn't matter that I have an event Regigigas on Diamond; I already had downloaded one onto my real Pearl card beforehand.
2) Wait a while before I buy some real copies from GameStop. In the meantime, I've still got the rest of Makeruna! Makendou Z to document, and I might ask Mom to buy me a copy of Pokemon Ranger once I get all my term papers done.
3) When it comes closer to Christmas, buy the games then.
4) Get a Nintendo DS-i for Christmas.
5) Start playing Pokemon Platinum.
6) See if I can transfer Manaphy's egg directly onto Platinum. If not, transfer it onto Diamond and Pearl, and hatch it.
7) When I get the Explorer Kit, start mining some fossils to trade onto the newly bought Pokemon games.
8) Revive all fossils, keep one Cranidos and Shieldon, and trade the rest onto Diamond and Pearl for whichever Pokemon are worth a damn. (While I'm at it, make sure I also trade a Cranidos onto my own copy of Pearl for Shaymin or Regigigas, probably the former. Trade one Pokemon from one of the other two games for the other event Pokemon.
9) Restart Diamond and Pearl if any 4th-gen starters are still missing from Platinum. Trade a fossil Pokemon for each remaining one.
10) Delete the data on Diamond and Pearl, and wrap the two games up for Cousin Adam.

There. Now I can stop going over this in my head for the nth time.
