Starting today, Chronicles of 7th Grade will be on hiatus for five days. Like with Banjo-Kazooie, I had been looking forward to playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but having played it a little bit for the past two days hasn't really brought back the good memories of 7th Grade. Fortunately, I had only gotten as far as the Dodongo's Cavern, which is early enough in the game to call it simply a holdover. Banjo-Kazooie and Ocarina of Time were both two of the three games that I played the most, and probably not coincidentally, I had been looking forward to playing both of them even before I started hosting Co7G entries on this blog. Same is true for the next game, which will be the last on the main roster, so for that one, I will take a four day break from Co7G before playing it. I won't tell you here what that game will be, but if you want a spoiler, click here. (What a coincidence it is that that entry happens to be right on a certain national holiday.)

For the record, 35 days had elapsed between the time I started hosting Co7G and the beginning of the first hiatus. 26 days had elapsed between the end of that hiatus and today. And, a whole week was slightly more than enough the first time to recharge my nostalgic spark before continuing to host Co7G entries here.

Mom and Marie made an ice cream cake for Marie's birthday, which is the first time we had ever made that kind of cake. Brian, unfortunately, was unable to come home to eat cake with us. I asked if we could postpone it for until he does come home from Ithaca, but she said he wouldn't mind if we had the fun without him. As for a birthday present, Mom got marie an analog watch, which she had me wrap for her.
