Sep. 27th, 2009 05:58 amYesterday, Marie and I both had dentist appointments at 8:45. While Mom and I were both waiting for Marie to finish up, Mom told me that, according to Marie, I tend to treat Getter Love!! like my other life. By that, she means that I devote entire sections of my blog entries to stuff that goes on in the game.
Well, what I tried to explain to them was, that game had been the most special game to refer to since February 7, 2008. This whole thing had been inspired by Jake's rantseries for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where he writes about his own adventures with that game and links to a video at the end. Except, most of the videos he links to are much more varied than the video game songs that I link to, and for some reason that I can't remember, I don't bother to put the Getter Love!! stuff behind lj-cuts. Oh well, to start lj-cutting that stuff now would create inconsistency.
While Mom was driving home, I asked her and Marie if they ever check the songs out that I link to at the end of each Getter Love!! rant, even though they say that the actual content is too detailed for them to bother reading. Well, that's exactly why I put each rant at the end of each entry and mark it with the game's title in all-caps. Apparently, they don't, but I did show Mom, first, part of the first video that Jake linked to in his rantseries, and then the first song I linked to and the one I linked to yesterday.
Now that it's been brought up, I always wonder whether Jake or Chelle ever check out any songs that I link to, even if they never read the actual content, and even though Chelle doesn't play actual video games. I mean, I did check out the Buffy/Edward video on YouTube that Chelle linked to, and when he wrote about having finished Window to Your Soul, I did start checking out the songs he linked to on that entry. (The first song was okay, but no offense to him, the ones after that were too depressing or boring for me to sit through.)

GETTER LOVE!!
Okay, I should've mentioned yesterday that during the previous round, I managed to sap Daisuke's Youshi and Tairyoku energy at Panda Burger and fuck up his Meifa date there, even though my own Youshi bar was nearly full. Can't say that I blame myself. I was almost done with the entry, I had to use the bathroom, Dad asked if I was still on, and the last thing I would've wanted to happen was for Dad to take the computer right before I was done with an entry.
Anyway...
Today's girl was Kiiro. Met her the first turn at the Game Corner, but this relationship with her was a slow one to develop. I even waited for her twice during the game at CD&BOOK, the latter after Alfonso announced her event there, and she didn't even talk to me. What the fuck?
After the aforementioned event didn't happen, I then got two calls from other girls asking me out for dates, declined, and as a result, had my energy bars lowered. I then waited for Kiiro at the Game Corner, was spotted by Thunder no Shou, and lost even more energy from that encounter. At that point, my date was ruined, but Alfonso then announced an event at my house for Kiiro to show up.
By "a slow one to develop", I mean it was certainly not fast enough to win with before Daisuke could win with Makoto. Just one quiz game at Panda Burger held the key to his victory. He won, his date there was a success, he left, and then Reika got the jump on me. The next turn, Alfonso announced another event at my house, I stayed home and used my Reika Ageru card to pass the beast off to Daisuke, and no one visited me. Meanwhile, Alfonso came to Daisuke's rescue the very same turn, just in time for Makoto to meet him at the school and the two of them to visit his house. The next turn, I stay home longer to take a bath, and Kiiro does come to visit me then, but the following turn, there was nothing I could do to stop Daisuke from winning. I go to the school where I have a date with Kiiro, and she berates me because of my low Tairyoku energy. Wouldn't have mattered anyway, because Daisuke was about to meet Makoto at the Game Corner, where what with everything reset for the morning, she would arrive first. That means, no second chance to intercept him.
Well, I feel like this game just kicked me around. But hey, sometimes, my rivals would feel that way whenever I'm ahead of everyone. That's why this game is for assholes!
