GETTER LOVE!!
Five rounds yesterday. Three were packed into the morning, one right after school, and the last one later on instead of right after the previous one.
I should also note that Jake mentioned a much more blatant example of cheating AI players. Namely, in Empire Earth, you need resources in order to play the game, but your opponents don't. In this game, the fact that my opponents could get away with low Youshi or Tairyoku is rare and subtle enough not to make a big deal of... especially when you consider the advantages you have over them, such as on the map screen or in the paintball and keepaway minigames.
Anyway...
Round 1: Started the game with Nakayoshi girl Natsuki. Doing so allowed my rivals to settle down with one girl more quickly, instead of fighting over the Nakayoshi girl. Used an Item Toru card to steal a Love Love card from Chikashi, but I never got to use it because he confessed his love to Shizuku at Itoh Mart before I had the chance.
Round 2: Competed with Daisuke for Hana today. Managed to take Hana out to the Shinto Shrine early in the game. Sesshuu and I also worked together during two turns to cancel out two dates Daisuke had with Hana (including a Beach date) and one date he had with Ayumi. However, he still managed to get further and further ahead of me with Hana. After a week in the game elapsed, I then realized that I would never win a Love Love ending, and if she were to invite anyone to her house, it would more likely be Daisuke. Time to forfeit.
Round 3: Natsuki today. Got her out to the beach early on, along with getting her housework scene later on. Eventually, everyone was bordering on a Giri Giri ending with Ayumi. At that point, Kaoru told me to meet Natsuki at Itoh Mart (which is right next to my house), both my energy bars were almost full, and I decided to cut my losses and win the game right then and there. (Now I finally have Natsuki's beach pic saved to my data.)
Round 4: Makoto today. Got her doorstep scene. Check. Fucked up one of Sesshuu's dates with Hana by draining his energy, and ruined his Shrine Date with a Geri card that I bought at Panda Park. However, he eventually won anyway. Well, no one said that getting anyone's Love Love ending would be easy.
Round 5: Started the game off by stealing a Youshi Down card from Chikashi at the Ground. Also got the Shrine Date card, and invited Shizuku out with it shortly afterwards. Check.
For most of the game, Daisuke was the only one doing particularly well, with Ayumi. I managed to slow down his progress for as long as possible, such as draining his energy the turn before certain dates he had. However, I did miss an opportunity to see Shizuku at Itoh Mart when Alfonso announced her event there.
Eventually got my hands on the Beach Date card, and invited her out with it. Now, I had seen her beach scene one time before, in a round that went unrecorded, but even before then, I was expecting her's to be one of the more conservative ones. In this case, she's still fully clad, though dressed differently, and she and I spent time at the dining park. She had this dish of ice cream, which had some green stuff on top (lime syrup?), and offered me a spoonful. Thanks, Shi!
At that point, Daisuke and Sesshuu were both kicking ass with Ayumi, and Chikashi was also nearly bordering on Hana's Giri Giri ending. However, during this round, Sesshuu had a date with Ayumi, but Reika came along and fucked it up. Thanks, Rei! The next round, Shizuku asked me to visit her at the Library. I narrowly beat her there, and used a Youshi Down card on Chikashi, who had a date with Ayumi on that turn. However, attacking Daisukewould've been useless, seeing as both his energy bars were three-quarters full. I also had a Mystery Novel that I bought from CD&BOOK much earlier in the game, which I could've given to Shizuku as a gift. However, to avoid any chance of letting Chikashi run away with the game, I decided to do it myself instead, and got Shizuku's Maa Maa ending.
Shizuku sits in a meadow and eats a sandwich as she talks to you.
Now, after having saved Natsuki's beach scene to my game pak and finally having won the game with Shizuku, is it any coincidence that I haven't played the game so obsessive-compulsively as the previous several days (which, I should note, was even more than after I started playing the game)? Well, it's not any coincidence that I've been playing more rounds than usual right now, because the Getter Love!! era is about to end very soon. However, having lost yesterday's fourth round and then having at least half an hour away from the game suggests that it might be one.
Today's song:

Chrono Trigger
Super NES

How appropriate to end this entry with, since this is the first time I had ever won the game with Shizuku! It's about time she got some stuff to show for it!
