My top ten anime moments since 1999

My life as an otaku all started ten years ago with Pokemon and Digimon. The title says it all!

10)Excel Saga: Excel singing in the rain while riding a bicycle down a flooded street. (They should've had something like that in Sonic Adventure, when the entire city gets flooded.)

9) Mon Colle Knights: Beginner's first appearance. Especially cute is when she and Mondo hold their noses after Rockna opens up a box full of some super-garlicky stuff that she cooked up. I used to press my wrists up against my chin each time I saw that part.

8) Ultimate Girls: The statue of Buddha growing four new arms, and squeezing up Vivienne's breasts and butt with all four of them. Hot!

7) Galaxy Angel Z: Milfeulle's episode as a giantess. Like I said before, this girl's voice is the one that I would perceive being Ellen's in Parasitic Trio. Simply my favorite girl of the Angel Brigade. Can't wait til Disk 1 of this GA season becomes available at Netflix.

6) Azumanga Daioh: "The terror... OF THE MOLDY BREAD!!!" Tomo tells a spooky--or rather, pathetic--story about a time when her friend Yomi left some bread sitting in her desk. According to her, the entire class was under siege with the resulting spores, but the background seems to tell us that they were just having a kickass time! Also, why are said mold spores wearing diapers? Wish someone would've commented on that!

That particular song actually stands out because of that. I could also imagine the girls--particularly Chiyo and Osaka--holding their noses with those things around.

5) Kanon: Two instances of Nayuki singing at breakfast, because both of them are particularly short.

3) A Little Snow Fairy Sugar: Pepper's cat-speak.

"Mr. Cat, meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow! Sorry, Mr. Cat doesn't listen..." (Try comparing it to the Japanese version.)

Umm... Pepper, cats don't literally say "meow", and it's not meowing; it's hissing.

2) Lucky Star: Yui's moment of drunk-off-her-ass!

Oh, and for some reason, even though Kagami's the cutest character in my own opinion, Konata seems especially cute in that scene for some reason. ("Yeah, you know it!")

Marie came home yesterday. Brian came home today.

This morning, I decided to play several rounds of Getter Love!! It failed to hold my interest, and I turned the game off very early on both times. This game sucks if you can't read the stuff fluently enough.

I did make a to-do list, but I'm probably only gonna do one thing each day. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to talk much with Jake thanks to his crappy Internet connection. For most of the day, I've just been checking my email and this blog for comments, and never got any. And let's not forget I'm already sick of Dark Cloud 2.

Right now, I'm in the mood to check out Princess Tutu. Gee, too bad tomorrow's a Sunday, and I only mailed back my current Netflix disks today. ( Spoilers )

Mom had me and Marie stand the Christmas tree up, and then put the top bunk bed together for Brian to sleep in.

We've started getting some snow, and Mom and I have finished building the new firewood pile. I went outside several times tonight to walk around on the driveway, and the first time around, I slipped and fell on my back, sliding several feet forward. It slightly hurt, and I had to regain my breath as I made my way back into the house.

Just moments ago, me, Brian, and Marie were watching Pixar Shorts on ABC Disney. The first short I saw upon coming inside from my second walk was this one called Geri's Chess Game. That's the clip that played when we went to see The Bug's Life. Right now, though Mom is watching some show about the Beatles with everyone.

Tomorrow morning, I'm gonna host something about Monster Collection Chronicles, that I hope Chelle will comment on. Whether it will be the first of two parts or just a standalone entry depends on how long the second part turns out to be. For something on my checklist, maybe I'll finish writing the plot synopsis for Magical Idol Ellen, show it to Jake, and hope that he'll be in the mood to help me plan out the first chapter.
