The multi-crossover Toshinden knockoff that isn't MUGEN

(Received disk 2 of The World of Narue yesterday. The mail came twice, and Mom told me it was a way to compensate for the day off taken on Christmas.)

Well, here's something I mentioned before, which I promised I would get around to. Ironically, I never did get this out, but what better time than now to describe it. But anyway, this is what I think of each time I listen to something from the Battle Arena Toshinden series.

All characters here are anime-style characters from video games. Lists of regular special attacks probably won't be complete; some of these characters have their own canon sets of moves, while others don't.

In alphabetical order, since I don't really have any particular order to name them in...

1)Alfina de Pamela
Origin: Grandia III (Playstation 2)
Weapon: Staff
Attacks (canon, but might be incomplete):
-Comet Spike (arcs into the air and lands on the opponent if they don't move.)
-Stun Force (cannot miss in semi-close quarters.)
-Ripple Shot (straight attack)
-maybe some magic attacks that would be equippable in G3.
Super attack: Armageddon (floats into the air w/ staff held horizontally, as a large orb forms around herself. Said orb will float down onto her opponent. (Canon)
Victory pose: Twirls around once, and then holds the staff behind her back horizontally while tilting her head.
Victory quote: "I won! [Giggle.] See? I can do it if I try!" (Canon)

2)Crono
Origin: Chrono Trigger (Super NES, Playstation, and Nintendo DS)
Weapon: Sword
Attacks (canon):
-Cyclone (spins around in a circle.)
-Slash (Straight attack w/ a ki wave.)
-Lightning (Summons a thunderbolt onto his opponent.)
-Air Slash (Jumps into the air, and locks onto his opponent mid-air.)
Super Attack: Luminaire (Static electricity surges around him.)
Victory pose: The "right on!" thing with his arm and fist. (Canon)
Victory quote: "Hmph!"

3)Hikari Tsurugino
Origin: Makeruna! Makendou 2 (Super Famicom and Playstation)
Weapon: Glove that increases her strength.
Attacks (canon; incomplete):
-Dash Punch/Kick
-Body Slam
-Energy Shot
-can let her dog Sabi glide towards her opponent to attack.
Super Attack: Dashes up to her opponent and punches them rapidly.
Victory pose: Jumps for joy several times, and then raises her fist up high. (Canon)
Victory quote: (Something in Japanese, after she laughs while jumping.)

4)Izuna
Origin: Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja (Nintendo DS)
Weapon: Sword
Attacks (incomplete):
-Freeshooter (throws kunai in multiple directions in front of her.)
-anything that would be appropriate for her.
Super Attack: (undecided)
Victory pose: Thrusts her hip to the side, and blows a kiss while winking.
Victory quote: "How was that, baby?"

(I've never played either game that Izuna has been in, so I don't know what her real information would be.)

5)Lena Brant
Origin: Valis IV (Turbografx-CD)
Weapon: Valis Sword
Attacks (canon):
-Icicle shots (fires into the air; should be used if the opponent jumps.
-Missile (homing shot)
-Lion's Roar (straight shot w/ a lion's face.)
-Drill (Straight shot.)
Super Attack: Armor blast (Circles of energy spiral away from her; will land more hits in close quarters.)
Victory pose: Drives the Valis Sword into the ground forcefully.
Victory quote: "I will not fall!"

6)Mai Tsurugino
Origin: Makeruna! Makendou (Super Famicom)
Weapon: Wooden sword
Attacks (canon):
-Shield (blocks an attack)
-Triple shot
-Rapid strike
-need more
Super Attack: Fires a long, thick beam of flames.
Victory pose: Holds her sword behind her neck. (Canon)
Victory quote: (Something in Japanese.)

7)Maximillian
Origin: Dark Cloud 2 (Playstation 2)
Weapon: Wrench and gun
Attacks (incomplete):
-Wrench Smash (jumps into the air, and creates a small shock wave upon landing.)
-Anything that would be suitable for him.
Super Attack: Takes out one of his rapid-fire guns, and fires a barrage of bullets.
Victory pose: Flings the gun on his finger multiple times, and then tosses catches, and points it forward in one fluid motion. (Canon.)
Victory quote: "That takes care of you guys!" (Canon.)

8)Meifa Lee
Origin: Getter Love (Nintendo 64)
Weapon: n/a
Attacks: can be anything appropriate for her.
Super Attack: Dashes up to her opponent, and unleashes a combo of punches, kicks, spinkicks, and other attacks.
Victory pose: Puts her hands together with her eyes shut.
Victory quote: Something in Chinese.

9)Mint
Origin: Threads of Fate (Playstation)
Weapon: Dual haloes
Attacks (canon):
-Vulcan (rapid straight shot.)
-Spread (multiple shots in various directions.)
-Bomb (explodes at close range)
-Deadly Dash (Mint herself dashes into her opponent, surrounded by dark energy.)
-more spells she had in her own game.
Super Attack: Cosmos (fires a prism of golden energy at her opponent, which homes in and deals a lot of damage if not blocked or outrun.) (Canon)
Victory pose: Twirls around once and swings the haloes rapidly. (Canon)
Victory quote: "Another big V for Princess Mint!" (Said this once in her own game.)

10)Monica Raybrandt
Origin: Dark Cloud 2 (Playstation 2)
Weapon: Sword and magical armlet
Attacks (incomplete):
-Magical shot (homing)
-Sword Smash (jumps into the air, and creates a small shock wave upon landing.)
-anything that would suit her.
Super Attack: Magically pushes her opponent away. The closer they are to her, the further they will be pushed back.
Victory pose: Swings her sword in circles in front of herself, and then swings it down. (Canon)
Victory quote: "Looks like I got 'em all!" (Semi-canon.)

11)Rue
Origin: Threads of Fate (Playstation)
Weapon: Arc Edge (battle ax)
Attacks: anything that would suit him. (Canonically fights mainly by transforming into monsters.)
Super Attack: Transforms into the dragon Wylaf, and breathes fire on his opponent.
Victory pose: Swings the Arc Edge in front of him one time.
Victory quote: n/a

12)Saya Tsurugino
Origin: Makeruna! Makendou Z (PC-FX)
Weapon: Laser gun
Attacks: anything that would suit her. Also includes a dash attack.
Super attack: Fires multiple energy orbs out of her chest while pressing her fingertips onto her forehead.
Victory pose: Places her free hand on her hip; holds the gun out casually.
Victory quote: (something in Japanese)

13)Toan
Origin: Dark Cloud (Playstation 2)
Weapon: Sword
Attacks (canon, but incomplete):
-Spinning jump slash
-Jumping down-slash
-anything that would suit him.
Super attack: Uses the Atlamillia to trap his opponent inside an Atlasphere temporarily.
Victory pose: Takes off his cap, and wipes his forehead.
Victory quote: a sigh of relief.

14)Yuki
Origin: Grandia III (Playstation 2)
Weapon: Sword
Attacks (canon):
-Aerial Strike (flips into the air to slash at his opponent.)
-Whirlwind (360-degree attack which pushes his opponent backwards.)
-maybe some magic spells that would be equippable in his own game.
Super Attack: Blade Storm. (Rushes to his opponent, slashes them nine times rapidly, and then gives them a final 360-degree slash, sending them backwards.) (Canon)
Victory pose: the "right-on" thing.
Victory quote: "All right! I did it!"

I think there was one remaining female character in this. Can't remember off-hand, but I'll add her in if it comes back.
