Jan. 8th, 2010 05:39 amStarted yesterday morning off by bringing up the topic of a giant-sized RPG with Jake. Along the way, however, I cited Grandia III as an example of an RPG that doesn't completely rely on the "chosen ones" gimmick. He got pissed off because said explanation contained spoilers for a game he plans on playing. So, with him then in a bad mood, I spent half the rest of the day writing down information for the first potential fic he and I ever discussed. (The rest of the day, I was hardly able to speak to him at all.)
(This isn't the first time I gave spoilers to a game. Not too long ago, I mentioned something from Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars, but he didn't get as mad that time.)

Received disk 1 of Nerima Daikon Brothers yesterday. That's some good humor to start with!
Oh, and another thought I had about Princess Tutu... Well, I can accept the recurring gag of the cat-man threatening his students with marrying him if they do poorly. To have the wedding march song start and then die out is fine the first time around, but don't you think it's kinda redundant after that? (Or at least the die-out part? One time, the song just cut itself off instead, so that was a nice change for once.)

My TV screen has started to fuck up for the past few days. The image quality fades, and just yesteday, the image narrowed itself while I was playing Grandia III. Not acceptable behavior for a TV set. Well, I did get a BestBuy certificate for Christmas, and now that Mom and Dad have finally found a car, Mom promised that we can go get a new TV set today.

Found an Ultimate Girls fic last night for the first time ever. Yeah, it's in script format, but I read it anyway because it's not like one of those fandoms where you can just check out the next fic if one doesn't appeal to you. If you ask me, I'd say it was pretty decent, as far as the plot and content go.

Now, about the site where I found it... Well, even though it's called "Anime GTS World", there are stories and story ideas from non-anime, such as Teen Titans. I contacted the site owner, advising him/her to either create a separate section for American cartoons, delete western-cartoon-based stories and ideas, or just rename the website. He responded by saying that he did change the site's name to "Animated GTS World", but that nearly killed the website's fanbase. He did admit that the name is a misnomer, and did thank me for the advice, but said that nothing's gonna change with the site.
Well, fine then. But, there used to be a similar case with AdultFanFiction.net years ago, when Japanese and western cartoons were all put into one category. I'm glad that at least that site eventually made them into two separate sections.
(Even after reading that Ultimate Girls one-shot all the way through, Jake still didn't sign back on to MSN. Ho-hum...)
