Jan. 18th, 2010 06:06 amIn case you're wondering why I'm using a different AVGN pic from the one I showed before, yeah, I think this one could be used when I'm talking about technical stuff (an equivalent to Chelle's "Geek Love" pic), rather than to express annoyance or anger (already the purpose behind one of my Kagami pics). This is one of my favorite moments on the AVGN series, which in this case, takes place towards the end of his Sega 32X video.

Forgot to mention from the other day, something regarding Monster Collection Chronicles.
From now on, the way the Knights' weapons work, is that they can only be weilded by someone whose root element match the weapon's own element.
Well, Chelle did tell me before about root elements and affinities, but only after I had asked him for a list of monsters from the Monster Collection franchise. He told me that he kept it to himself until then because of the Mystic Gene that I invented. Well, yeah, do understand that after Mon Colle Knights stopped airing on Fox Kids, it took me two and a half years to find it on DVD, and until not too long ago, I had been using a set of 24 elements based mostly on Pokemon (some of these were my own creation).
The idea behind the Mystic Gene was that only those with traces of only a single element would be able to use the most powerful spells possible based on that element. This would have been what McKnight looked for when he ran his cult. Furthermore, it would be most powerful when activated around the ages of 10 through 12.
Well, according to Chelle, Mondo has affinity to Fire and Wind magic, while Rockna has affinity to Water and Earth magic. The anime never did specify their root elements (which allows Rockna's be be Light), and Chelle told me that there are some monsters that have two root elements (which makes room for the four hybrid elements).

As of yesterday, Mom prodded me to get moving with my thank-you letters. Got three of them done, and still have two more to go. That will be one less thing to take care of during a time when I have a handful of things to take care of and don't know what else to start with first.
Meanwhile, unless Chelle beats me to this, I gotta think up a better direction to take Mondo and Rockna's conversation when they're underwater and talking about their earlier memories of Mon World.
