Feb. 18th, 2010 06:13 amReceived my e-Reader in the mail just yesterday.
Mom said that to mail back those magazines would cost $13, which would mean I'd hardly get anything back by sending them back. Looked through each magazine to make sure the card really wasn't in one of the magazines, and then Mom had me explain to the seller and requested a half refund. He gave me back $12.50, and I had just left a generic positive feedback right now.
As for Pokemon Emerald, I am hardly able to feed my Pelliper, Houndour, and Mawile any more vitamins. So, the only way to get stronger now is to level up, and I'm gonna have Houndour and Mawile fight trainers on the S.S. Tidal (assuming that they re-battle you each time you board the ship). Any further Battle Points I earn will be stockpiled for presents to give to Diamond and whichever game I get for my birthday.

While I was looking through my magazines, three of them turned out to be GameInformer magazines. Several mini-articles from those did catch my attention, such as why Duke Nukem Forever took forever to finish (v. 195), even years after being announced. However, one article from volume 192 is particularly noteworthy:
Did Yuji Naka really try to kill off the Sonic franchise with all these mediocre games that we've been getting for years now? Well, the bottom of the page did say "Parody", which might mean that it's just a joke referring to the fact that so many fans are not that fond of what Sega had been cranking out starring the blue hedgehog. However, I did read recently on the VGMusic forum, that Sega will be releasing Sonic the Hedgehog 4 on WiiWare, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade. Not to be confused with this clone of a certain SNES game, this is going to be a direct sequel to Sonic & Knuckles, and will feel a lot more like that game and its three prequels. This act of going back to basics, back to when Sonic games were good, seem to suggest that the franchise might just be on his way back up to quality.
Of course, I doubt I'm going to bother playing it. Players can only play as Sonic, I don't own any of the three current home consoles, and my interest in the fandom has already waned several years ago. I'd more likely watch the gameplay videos on YouTube at some point.

Y'know, seeing something such as the Nerd described in the video kinda just inspired something for Parasitic Trio:
