Aug. 15th, 2010 07:22 amMom and Dad went out yesterday morning to pick up Marie. Uncle Robby drove Grandpa Bob here while they were gone, and brought over a cheesecake. Only Grandpa stayed, though.
I helped Marie unload all her stuff from Dad's van without being asked when they came home. She also brought home some different bottles of chocolate syrup (including Magic Shell, which hardens after you pour it), and also gave me a box of Skittles (which I haven't started eating yet).
Spent much of the day writing up an Excel sheet for the PAL Park outcomes for Parasitic Trio. It's still incomplete, and is just to hold myself over until I actually get around to that part of the ficseries. The actual outcomes will be different, and this is also the second attempt, in which Ellen, Jamie, and May are three of fifty (mostly unnamed) contestants (rather than three of twenty-five). Lots and lots of dice-rolling and coin-flipping, but I do remember Jake showing me something online that can generate random numbers much faster. That will sure come in handy when I need to make open-ended decisions for fanfiction. Maybe I'll find it again if I type "random number generator" into Google.
(In case anyone would've been interested, I already overwrote the first trial. Sorry.)
In the meantime, Mom went out somewhere with Marie (don't remember where she said), Grandpa was watching the ball game and this nature show about monarch butterflies, and Scott came over later on and ate dinner with us.
Me, Marie, and Scott also had some peach pie, for which they bought a special "TwinMint" flavor of ice cream. I could barely taste the pie after putting some of said ice cream on it, but the ice cream itself was really good, especially with the chunks of mint chocolate in the chocolate half. (Let's get that again sometime!)
Before we all went to bed, everyone was watching this show about social relationships. I was still doing my spreadsheet, but I did watch two parts of the show, one about an autistic man's life, and the other about bullying and the events that led to Jeffrey's Law being passed in Florida.
