Been feeling a lot better for the past few days, so I was able to bring in some wood and make Mom some lunch. But now, Mom and Dad are both sick, so our family get-together has been postponed for yet another week. (I sent Melissa a PM this morning, asking if she was available to meet with me again at Starbucks.)

Had Mom drive me to GameStop while she went to Dad's workshop. Downloaded Raikou onto all five of my games. Tried to sell back Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia and my three copies of the original Ranger, but the clerk told me that they're only allowed to accept one copy of each game from each customer per day. Got $4.50 in store credit.

Dad sold his drums two days ago. I told him that I overheard him on the phone with someone, saying that he doesn't really have the talent for it. I compared it to my lack of talent for drawing, but he told me that if I enjoy it, then it doesn't really matter if the girls I draw are anatomically flawed.

I'm not sure that I ever actually enjoyed drawing, though. It's a tedious process just to draw one character, and when I got done with one, it would be a good while before I'd draw someone else. I think if I actually enjoyed the process, I'd have drawn multiple girls in a single span of time, instead of putting months between each drawing. Even though Chelle says that one needs to learn how to draw real people in order to learn how anatomy works, the fact that I hardly ever practiced with anyone, real or otherwise, would probably say more.

Speaking of which, Dad tells me that Chelle might be jealous of my talent or trying to make me feel bad about my lack of talent. I find that hard to believe, because she also said that if I'd rather not receive critique, then she wouldn't bother.

For the record, I still intend to learn Japanese and to write fanfiction, even though I'm doing a half-assed job practicing with those either. I did enjoy writing what I have so far of the MCC prologue, and I appreciated all of Chelle's critique for it. For writing, Chelle has told me twice so far, to read actual books in order to learn how to write. The first time around was when I wrote some beige prose when she and I were working on BIG Date, and I've been careful enough since then to avoid that.

Mom was watching an episode of this show called The Ghost Whisperer last night. I joined her at some point, and it involved an autistic woman named Christine. Some stuff about autism that was touched on included how autistic people relate better to objects than to people, some of their coping methods (such as with puzzles), and how autism used to be believed to be the result of bad parenting.
