Mom and I went to the dockyard in Bellport after she came home, and walked a whole bunch of laps. On the way home, she stopped at Home Depot to pick up a few raspberry plants.

Earlier on, I received my second Nintendo DS in the mail. Took a picture of it, along with everything that came with it, when we got home from Bellport.

Here it is:

Tested the unit out later by playing the Pledge to Arceus mission on Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs. As it turns out, this thing has a much more reliable touch screen than my other DS, so there's a chance I might not sell either unit after all.

With my original DS, trying to touch anything tiny with the stylus is awkward. One of the clerks at GameStop suggested I try calibrating it, but even that hasn't worked. So, hoping I can get it fixed for a really low price, I have contacted Old Skool Gamer for help.

(Even though I got a better touch screen and a bunch of spare styli in the deal, I still don't know whether to ask myself why I stopped waiting while there was still a chance I could get together with Melissa next month, or why I didn't just buy a second unit in the first place. Well, it is partially justified by the fact that Mom told me only the previous night that Adam never had his DS the whole time, thus making waiting to get together with him a moot point. However, I bought this one right before asking Cousin Steven if he still had his (assuming he ever had one in the first place) after he wished me a happy birthday through Facebook. Not to mention that I've already got plenty of stuff to keep myself occupied, gaming is supposed to be secondary to everything else, and I've even just recently become interested in playing the Mario Party series.)

Here's a forum I found through ROMhacking.net yesterday, with which I could seek people to help me fandub Makeruna! Makendou Z when the time comes:

http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/forum.php

And also, some software that I could suggest that any volunteers use to record their voice samples with:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Of course, what I was looking at was a project where someone wants to incorporate the voice dub into the actual ISO. With any anime series, getting the best results is a matter of editing out the dialogue without eliminating music or sound effects and inserting the new voice clips. Since I no longer seek to translate any actual ROMs or ISOs, that is pretty much the same thing I'm trying to do. Gonna have to ask around about that at some point.
