May. 1st, 2011 07:25 amToday's the last class for Japanese. I canceled it because I don't feel like I'm getting much out of it. Starting tomorrow, when I'm the only one home, I'm going to continue with that online Japanese program that I paid for a few months ago. (For now, though, I've continued playing Pokemon Diamond, mainly to get ready for the Super Contests and to find an Alert Tool 4 underground.)

Two kids from next door came to our driveway and told Dad that they were selling Kool-Aid and soda to raise disaster relief funds for Japan. Dad spoke with them, and I came outside to meet them as well. Mom asked for a Sprite, and I chose some punch. She gave me a twenty as a donation.
Before they left the driveway, I introduced myself and asked them what their names were. They didn't answer, and once they were gone, Dad told me that I should never socialize with little kids unless I know them well enough. (Reasons are obvious enough, and come to think of it, I don't think I ever have seen anyone my age or older interact with a child like that... except for that one time when someone spoke to me in the bathhouse at Acadia. If those were anime girls that greeted us, though, I would so hug them and rub my face into them like I do with my kitty-cat.)
They came back with two cups of Kool-Aid, and told Mom that they had poured ten. Mom told them that she only meant the twenty she gave them as a donation, and they can just keep the other eight.

Last night, Mom had to keep checking the front and back doors to let Mabel in, and she never did. Just this morning, it turned out that she had been sleeping in her closet the whole night.
