Jun. 18th, 2011 06:29 amDad brought me to Jim and Carroll's house, the same house that we had previously been to with the Uhaul truck. What better day than yesterday, since I had been waiting for people on DeviantArt to write back to me.
What we had to do was to bring a cabinet up into an upstairs bedroom. Hardest part was getting the two halves of the case through the house, having to maneuver through a tight hallway full of pictures and miniature chandeliers, and then up the staircase. After we got everything up, we still had to remain at the house to assemble the cabinet and set up the TV, cable box, and DVD player.
While we were at it, Dad asked Carroll if she could get him some water. She then also offered me either water or Sierra Mist. I chose the latter.
We also noticed this Pac-Man game hooked up to the TV, before we started sorting that out. What it was was this controller that you hook up directly to the TV, complete with an arcade-style joystick and buttons. I asked Jim where he got it from, and he told me that it belonged to his kids, who have since let their own kids have it.
(This is what I'm referring to, btw.)
We had been away from home for almost a total of four hours, including the drive to the house and back. When we got back home, I rushed to the computer to check my messages before Dad could get on, and Mom asked me if something was wrong. (Had two messages on DeviantArt.) Not much later on, while we were eating dinner, Mom asked me if I had noticed that Dad doesn't use the computer as much as he used to.
